0510 is the het ship between Kotoko Yuzuriha and Shidou Kirisaki from the MILGRAM fandom.

Canon[]

Kotoko and Shidou are inmates within the prison of MILGRAM. The two don't interact often to begin with, with Kotoko acting withdrawn as shown in the Portal Timelines, watching the others from a distance. She is, however, implied to have listened in on Shidou's Trial 1 interrogation just as well as all the others of Trial 1. Within their Trial 1 interrogations, the two show perfectly opposite reactions to their "sins", with Shidou asking of Es to give him the punishment he believes he deserves, while Kotoko saying she completely doesn't regret hers.

A major clash of interests between the two happens in the intermission between the first and second Trials, where Kotoko attacks the prisoners given an "unforgiven" verdict by Es. Shidou treats all of the harmed prisoners, finding a new reason to live in it and changing his outlook of MILGRAM due to it entirely. He considers what Kotoko had done horrible, however, denies Es' promise to judge Kotoko appropriately in the second Trial, asking of them to stop the system altogether. Kotoko at that point is instead unsatisfied with the prison in that she doesn't see Es as doing enough, and asks for them to lay part of their responsibility on her to go on to create a better MILGRAM.

Haruka's Trial 2 voice drama mentions Shidou, alongside Kazui, having "ceasefire negotiations" with Kotoko, after she stated she doesn't plan to attack anyone in the meantime. It's unclear how they ended; however, Kotoko has only grown more stable in her beliefs of upholding justice in Trial 2.

Both reference each other in the lyrics of their Trial 2 music videos, Triage and Deep Cover for Shidou and Kotoko respectively. Shidou in his asks of Es to let him, alongside continuing to treat any of the prisoners in need, the chance to be able "to extract that fang", in reference to Kotoko asking to become Es' "fang" - he wishes to stop Kotoko from pursuing her justice, although it's currently unclear how exactly. Kotoko, in turn, lists Shidou alongside other prisoners, calling him a "peddling flower thief" and "doomed dissection pawn". A silhouette and chess piece related to Shidou, the latter later broken, appear as well. Both also call for opposite verdicts in the lyrics, with Shidou asking of Es to vote him "forgiven" while Kotoko doing so for "unforgiven" verdicts for all prisoners.

Timelines[]

The two first interact in a Portal Timeline from 2020/06/25, where Kotoko admits she has been watching Shidou for a while and has grown curious over him being so impassive, and asks if he knows something about MILGRAM that others don't. Shidou denies that, saying he does feel shaken up, but is just naturally non-expressive. He admits he does somewhat like MILGRAM, though, a sentiment Kotoko agrees with, although Shidou argues it's probably not for the same reason he does. He ends the Timeline conversation by pointing out Kotoko must not be a "normal" person either, from what he's gathered.

Their next interaction happens on 2021/10/24, in Shidou's birthday Timeline. Shidou in it is surprised upon seeing Kotoko this early, and notes she's probably come for something other than congratulating in. Kotoko says she indeed is here to wish him a happy birthday, and then asks if he has been experiencing any hallucinations, describing an experience akin to those of the "unforgiven" prisoners. Shidou picks up on that, but writes the effects on the "unforgiven" down to mental stress, and calls Kotoko very caring, thinking she is worried about all of them. Kotoko doesn't react to that, simply noting it's good he isn't affected - as herself she understands that must mean he was "forgiven" - and wishes him a happy birthday once again.

MINIGRAM[]

In Episode 16, "Insensitive", Kotoko describes in graphic detail the discomforting things prisoners of the past would do to escape confinement, which, out of all the listeners, Shidou is the only one who appears completely unfazed about, even smiling.

In Episode 39, "Horror Story", when the turn comes for Shidou to tell something spooky, he describes a real life situation from his job - it's implied to be directly related to his "sin". Kotoko afterwards notes neutrally that she understands now why he is in MILGRAM, and that before she thought he could have killed someone in a fight. Shidou calmly shakes his head and denies her earlier theory, all the while Haruka, Yuno, and Mahiru, who have also been listening, shake in fear.

In Episode 43, "Halloween in Prison", Kotoko is surprised at seeing decorations on the walls, which Shidou explains as his idea, specifically for Halloween. Kotoko scoffs at it and replies, "Let's all enjoy Halloween in prison"[1] in a tone that Mikoto immediately points out as passive-aggressive.

Quotes[]

Kotoko“...Shidou, right? I've been watching your actions for a while, and I'm curious. You're always extremely calm, and your expression never changes. Do you know something about this place?”
Shidou“No, I know nothing. ...I've never really had an expressive face. Despite appearances, I am quite shaken by this. But... if I do look calm, as you say... Then I suppose it's because I don't particularly dislike it. This place...”
Kotoko“Hmm, is that so. ...What a coincidence. I don't particularly dislike it here either.”
Shidou“I think... that our reasons are probably different. ...From where I'm looking, you're not particularly normal either, Yuzuriha-kun.”

Shidou“Oh, Yuzuriha-kun. It's unusual so see you around this early. Wishing me a happy birthday... probably isn't the what you're here for, huh.”
Kotoko“No, it is. Happy birthday, Shidou. Though it's not like I bought you a present or anything. But while I'm here, I'd also like to ask you something. Has anything changed for you recently? Having nightmares, hearing voices, feeling anxious... anything like that.”
Shidou“Not especially, no. ...Ah, so this is about how Kajiyama-kun and Shiina-kun have been strange recently? And she's been trying to hide it, but Amane too... We've been living in these conditions for a while... it's not unusual for there to be an impact on us mentally. Are you worried about them? You’re a very caring person.”
Kotoko“Hmm, so you noticed? If nothing's wrong with you, then that’s good. ...If I've understood properly, that means you’re safe... Once again, happy birthday, Kirisaki Shidou.”

Fanon[]

0510 is a rarepair within the fandom. Fan interest in it is typically driven by the similarities between their characters and the implicit negative relationship they've come to have within canon, waiting for a potential payoff in Trial 3. Romantic fan content of it mostly falls under the "Enemies to Lovers" trope.

The pairing is rivaled by Kazushido, Shidomiko and Shidomahi on Shidou's side, as well as various ships like Kotomahi and Kotoyuno on Kotoko's.
