Copied over and over, every other brick were it’s descendents. Then, in a footnote, he mentions the evil 1x1x1x1. So that’s where the name comes from. Blame John.

1xshed is the non-binary ship between 1x1x1x1 and Shedletsky from the Roblox fandom.
Canon[]
1x1x1x1 was a test account that was created by Shedletsky, specifically under the Telamon account. In one of Shedletsky's Roblox backstories, he written 1x1x1x1 being used to prey on fear, mentioning an "evil 1x1x1x1 part". This resulted in many people to speculate that he was real hacker or was a leader to an exploiting group. While these rumors were long since been debunked by MrDoomBringer, some users still continue to believe it.

The game is in it's alpha stage so any major or minor changes to both the game, characters and lore should be expected and changed to reflect that in the possible future.
In Forsaken they are enemies since 1x1x1x1 hates Shedletsky due to being his embodiment of hatred. Because of this 1x1x1x1 wants nothing but to kill Shedletsky:to this day, Shedletsky is still wary of 1x1x1x1.

Most content for the two includes sword fighting, humiliation and mindbreaking in whatever form depending on the side. Most shippers often find it appealing to explore topics like complex emotions and conflicting opinions towards one another, sometimes added with a complicated physical relationship, others as a metaphor for self obsession. Or, just liking the possible complications that can be sparked from the ship. Same can be said to when it's 1x1x1x1 with Telamon but added with a more deity flavor to it, or where others simply just happen to like hate sex.
A different depiction of the two's relationship often but not limited to in the Forsaken fandom is often dubbed as "teladad", where they're depicted as father and son specifically, occasionally going for the deadbeat dad route. However, even this is not as super common in the platonic side as both romantic and platonic content often sticks with portraying the two as just enemies, and creator/creation in Forsaken's case but nonetheless it still has a lot of content for it. While both shippers and non-shippers express their dislike to the family headcanon as some find it to be quite boring, since many love the "your emotions became a person who is now trying to hunt you" concept they have in Canon because 1x1x1x1 is a product of Shedletsky's negative emotions coming to kill him. This view of their relationship is considered to be far more interesting as the two are often compared to being like a Pyramid Head and James Sunderland situation (which as a bonus there even is a James Sunderland skin for Shedletsky in Forsaken). Rather than just making it a deadbeat dad version of Dad7n7, a small percentage of other fans think it would make more sense if they're depicted as brothers instead of father and son for the family concept.
Usually content for the Teladad/Dadletsky variant consists of showing 1x4 as a pill baby upon his "birth" along with usually depicting him in his actual avatar instead of his roblox toy figure design. A small joke for it is "Pregletsky" since the two can possibly be described as the same person and since 1x4 is a manifestation of Shedletsky's hate, it uses this as a more humorous approach to 1x coming out of Shedletsky.
Often for the Forsaken and TRUD variant, its fan content places an emphasis on their survivor/killer dynamic. Most content for the ship is usually found in the Forsaken variant but there have been a few shippers for it in the past and for other smaller variants. For example, some fictional versions of the Roblox events that happened irl, usually involving gods and whatnot when it comes to Telamon. It could count as a mirror/selfcest ship depending on who you ask in the Forsaken fandom. Some argue that it's not selfcest because 1x1x1x1 is whole new separate being while others fully embrace it as mirror/selfcest yaoi. However, most tend to just view 1x as a humanization of Shed's negativity rather then them being the same person, while some see it as both. Depictions like this of how 1x1x1x1 came to be in Forsaken are quite commonly believed in the community.
There is some rivalry to the two sides with some teladad fans often accusing the ship as a incest ship, either because of their own headcanon or because of a few small shippers coincidentally being "darkshippers". Most 1xshed shippers respond with the fact that the family headcanon isn't canon, especially not in Forsaken along with adding that most shippers also don't like the fact that those kind of people are into the ship as well, since many don't like the possibility of 1xshed being known as one of those kind of ships in the fandom. Many 1xshed shippers also hate it when there is ship content for the two that combines the family and romantic side together, while a few others simply can separate the two depictions like in the way some Hankcon and Hank & Connor/Dad Hank fans can enjoy both sides separately in it's own universe as long as it's again, not combined.
Overall both sides of the ship are decently sized in the fandom with both tags having over 50+ fics on AO3. It's rival ships are but not limited to Buildermon and 1xdoe.

Trivia[]
- Shedletsky created the original 1x1x1x1 account in 2007. The account currently named 1x1x1x1 was made in 2010 by makkapakka3.
- Shedletsky created 1x1x1x1 as a test account on Roblox. He then rumored about 1x1x1x1 being a hacker and him not having the account (which he obviously did have), which is where the quote “Blame John” comes from.
- As said by the creator of Below the Spawn, the name "Swordfighters" is used specifically for the BTSP variant.[1]
- The name 1xmon is a combo of 1x1x1x1 name and Telamon's name while 1xshed is a combo of Shedletsky's name instead of Telamon's name.
- Shedletsky is afraid of telling the other survivors that he personally knows 1x1x1x1, since he thinks that he will no longer be trusted for it.
- If 1x1x1x1 and Shedletsky are the only ones left, the theme “Creation of Hatred" will play instead of the usual last man standing theme. The timer will have an extra 20-30 seconds to match the song's extended length.
- This is because in Forsaken's lore, 1x1x1x1 is a manifestation of Shedletsky's hatred, thus making him his creator.
- This is due to Shedletsky owning the 1x1x1x1 account as a test account.
- In 1x1x1x1’s intro cutscene, he crushes somebody's head with his bare hands. The person 1x1x1x1 kills in his intro cutscene is confirmed to be Shedletsky.
- Due to a majority of characters being based on actual people or events on Roblox, their characters have been largely edited.
