4ggravate is the poly ship between Alhaitham, Cyno, Kaveh and Tighnari from the Genshin Impact fandom.
Canon[]
All of the four characters know each other in canon, and have vastly different dynamics between each other. Cyno and Tighnari are close friends who often collaborate and work together, as is suggested by Matra's Encyclopedia of Plants description. Furthermore, they both take care of Collei. Kaveh and Alhaitham are roommates who, on the other hand, have a very tumultuous relationship, often bickering and riling each other up over the smallest things. Cyno and Alhaitham start off on the wrong foot as both escape from the Akademiya's grasp but doubt as to whether the other might simply be a mole but after overcoming life and death, they become good friends. Kaveh and Tighnari, however, have an amiable relationship, and according to Cyno's voiceline "About: Kaveh" it seems that Tighnari finds the architect quite humourous. Cyno and Kaveh do not seem particularly close but Kaveh has given Cyno a limited-edition TCG card and Cyno during the Interdarshan tournament. Alhaitham and Tighnari don't have any exclusive interactions with each other.
The four are all incredibly intelligent people, as they have all graduated from Sumeru Akademiya while still being quite young. It's interesting to note how they all seem to have studied in different Darshans: Alhaitham in Haravatat; Cyno in Spantamad; Kaveh in Kshahrewar and Tighnari in Amurta. When it comes to their opinions on wisdom and knowledge, however, their philosophies greatly differs. Alhaitham, while not ambitious, is always finding and internalizing new knowledge, often skirting around the limits of what is considered to be acceptable whereas Cyno does not seek knowledge for himself and instead makes sure that the other scholars don't break the six cardinal sins. Kaveh believes that wisdom should be uncovered by many people although their discovery may be to his own detriment. Tighnari seems to be interested in both seeking knowledge himself as he is willing to eat an unknown mushroom to figure out its effects in and imparting knowledge on others as he does with his student Collei.
The four appear together for the first time in Alhaitham's Character Demo[1]. Cyno, Kaveh and Tighnari are seen playing Genius Invocation TCG in Puspa Café. The topic of their discussion is how strong Alhaitham is. Once Alhaitham joins them, he tries to explain his point of view, but fails to be understood by the other three.
Fanon[]
As polycule relationships vary, there are many different interpretations of 4ggravate. One is that they are all in love with each other. Another favorite is a double date relationship where two couples exist and the four eventually get together. For this type, Kavetham-Cynonari and Cytham-KavehNari are the fan favorites. There are also queerplatonic interpretations of the ship.
In many fanworks, Alhaitham, Cyno, Kaveh and Tighnari are often seen debating on more academically difficult matters or on simple matters which they've blown out of proportion.
Cytham & KavehNari Double Date Polycule[]
In this variation, Cyno and Alhaitham are often at the point where they have already become friends after saving Sumeru or even lovers. On the other hand, Kaveh and Tighnari are either pining for each other or already in a romantic relationship.
Kavetham & CynoNari Double Date Polycule[]
In this variation, Cyno and Tighnari would be romantic, while Kaveh and Alhaitham would be arguing the entire time.
