Canon[]

While Six plays a game of Go Fish with Seven and Eight, Nine complains about being bored in the sub count while Five orders them to stay there. As Nine gets the idea to have Six take their place again, Five warns Six not to listen to them. Later when the numbers are set to find Ten, Five says they'll go get him and Six gets excited that Five knows him. Five then gets into an argument with Seven which Six and Eight watch at first. The numbers cannot decide who will be the one to get Ten as Five reminds them that they called it first. Six doesn't care and wants to get him as Five restates their point, making Four get an idea to put them in a competition as to who will retrieve Ten. Five and Six, along with Seven, Nine, and X, are the five contestants of the short competition. Afterwards when Five comes out mangled after being inside of Four, Six laughs at their appearance as Five tells them not to.

Six and Nine fuse into Fifteen to take the real Fifteen's role in the sub count, making Five, along with Seven and Ten, overjoyed when they see Fifteen again. After being asked where Six and Nine are, the two as Fifteen nervously say that they were eaten, though Five doesn't mind as long as Fifteen is here. Later on as Six and Nine split apart, Six tells Five and Ten to do it since they add up to 15. While Ten is fine with it, Five puts the responsibility back on Six as they conflict on who should take the role of Fifteen.

Five and Six play Jenga with Eight, Nine, and Ten. When it's Six's turn to take out a block, they cannot find a good piece to take out and diverts the players' attention into updating the sub count whiteboard. Five tells Six to stop distracting them, getting angry when the others fall for it. The next day, Five gathers Six, Eight, and Nine to inform them of a scream they heard the night before. Six jokes that Five had a nightmare, making Five assert that they were not the one who screamed. The three are shocked however when Five tells them that Ten screamed and that his skin was eaten by a criminal. Realizing that Fourteen was freed from jail, Six tells Five that they thought he was captured already, although Five says that they got the wrong Seven that came from Fourteen splitting himself. After hearing from Nine's story about them and Six travelling to Fifteen's cabin, Five gets an idea on how to capture Fourteen using Fifteen's cabin. Five, Six, and Eight hide in a bush as they lure Fourteen into being burnt by Fifteen's flamethrower and the three cheer when this works. Five and Six carry back Fourteen and Nine to the Equation Playground afterwards.

During the apocalypse, the two are trapped in a jail cell with Ten and Fourteen and Five pleads for Six to let them inside their vent. When Six comes up from it, Five accidentally smacks them back down as they and Ten yell for Six to come back up. As Six warns them not to give their hiding spot away, Five argues that The Thing threw them in jail and weakened their powers, wanting to hide to avoid being seen by it. Six calls back to when Five insulted their hiding place, though Five meant what they said about it being dirty and beneath them literally. As Ten begs for Six to let them in, Five tries to force their way in only for Six to bite them in the leg and drop back down inside. After Six leaves their drill behind and crawls through what's underground, Five is able to get the drill and take the vent for themself, leaving Ten behind. Five eventually finds the bunker that Six is hiding in and is appalled that Six ran off to watch videos with Zero while everyone else is in dismay. Five calls it the most irresponsible thing that Six has done, though Six is annoyed and mentions that they want to get back to watching them. After Five watches one of them with Six, Five becomes interested and Six tells them that there are dozens more to watch. Five and Six bond throughout as they watch Zero's tape collection, though Zero himself is embarrassed over the whole ordeal. Later when Eight and Two make it to the bunker, Eight sees Six and Five sitting together smiling, pointing out that it's the calmest he's seen the two together. Two compliments the two, though Zero is further offended by this. After Zero fails to try and embarrass the other zeroes in the bunker, Six calls for the next video to watch as Five says that they were thinking the same thing, calling themself and Six in sync. After a particularly embarrassing video of Zero is played, Six and Five are shocked to see Zero enraged to the point where he ends up breaking the TV. After Seven's arrival, Six, Five, and Zero are frustrated when they learn that Seven had the tape they were looking for the whole time. Everyone there goes upstairs to Zero's base to watch the tape, although most of them end up getting captured by 2763 as they try to watch.

Fanon[]

56 is somewhat rare as a ship, although it is more known within shippers focused on algebraliens. The ship had emerged as a rarepair since their initial interactions in the shorts, citing their on and off friendship as adding to their dynamic. Shippers of the two enjoy that the pairing can be seen as either yaoi or yuri and find that this adds to it as well. The pairing also gained more recognition with the 2.763m subscriber special, which gave more focus to them as a duo and showed both aspects of them in conflict as well as being able to get along when need be. Many of the ship's support come from video edits of TikTok of the two, showing scenes from the shorts and animation memes of the two. The pairing is rivaled by ships such as 96 and 57.
