Aaravum is the friendship between Aaravos and Callum from The Dragon Prince fandom.

Canon[]

Callum at first didn't know much about Aaravos. He only knew that that he was an archmage and that Key of Aaravos belonged to him before he retrieved the cube from the Banther Lodge. Callum had learned of it from Harrow's letter. When he was in Xadia and asked some elves about Aaravos, most of the elves didn't wanted to talk about him. Callum stayed curious why so many elves feared of him.

After Callum got the title of High Mage of Katolis, he was cleaning Viren abandonment secret chambers he found a mirror in which was contained Aaravos's prison. Callum tried to decipher the runes on it and after he obtained the Tome of Translation revealing phrase "In Darkness, Gaze Upon a Fallen Star." Following Ibis message that Fallen Star is trying to return to the world, Callum decided to take the magic mirror.

During Team Zym flight to Storm Spire, Zubeia told the story about Aaravos and when finally arrived in Dragon Queen lair, Zubeia cast a spell so that none light is reflected from the mirror so they could see the Fallen Star. As soon as Aaravos appeared on the other side of the mirror, he possessed Callum and started to teats the Team Zym and Zubeia. He had stated that Callum is his favourite and already tainted by darkness. Aaravos then released him from his control and broke the magic mirror. Callum was very frightened by him and also scared that he would possess him again. He asked Rayla to kill him, if he ever was possessed by Aaravos again. Callum in order to stop Aaravos, started to looking for the information in the Katolian library. Unfortunately whenever he started reading anything about Startouch Elves or Aaravos, the writings constantly vanished as soon as he looked at it. Callum with Rayla decided to went to the Lux Aurea Great Bookery to find informations about the first Elves and when they arrived at the Sunfire Elf Camp Amaya, Gren and Kazi joined to help them. As they were searching for the Startouch Elves weakness, Callum and Kazi discovered a poem "The Death of the Immortal" about a Startouch Elf who was killed by a star sword, Nova Blade. Callum decided to seek for this sword to stop Aaravos if he would escape from his prison.

Aaravum may be not very know but there is a popular theory that Aaravos could be Callum's biological father but for now on it's not confirmed. On AO3, the ship has 29 works.

With Aaravos losing control of one of his puppets and no longer has a means to control his second one, there are hits that the StarTouch Elf will try to trick Callum into freeing him. With Callum being shown to only use dark magic to save Rayla and the promise he made to help her free her family, gives Aaravos the perfect means to take advantage of him. As there have been a few hits that supports this theory, while season 5 is seen as the calm before the storm.
