Acheliu is the femslash ship between Acheron and Jingliu from the Honkai: Star Rail fandom.
Canon[]
Whilst they have never had a canon interaction, they share a lot of similarities with one another and are overall extremely alike. Acheron and Jingliu are both very lonely individuals who have lived for a very long time, and posses immortality to some degree, originating the now destroyed planets Izumo and The Xianzhou Cangcheng. They are both extremely talented fighters, who were forced to pick up the blade at a young age after a tragedy to their home planet, to which wielding the blade became their destiny. Both Acheron and Jingliu met someone who meant a lot to them, a gentle and positive soul who was able to help them and make their tragic lives better, however both Frebass and Baiheng sadly met their demises, their deaths impacting Acheron and Jingliu a lot. Having lived extremely difficult lives, the two are very introverted, distant and melancholic people, who house a gentle side deep down, and continue striving towards the goal they share: killing the Aeons. Like all Self Annihilators, Acheron is depressed, with it being so strong she feels nothing, and even a smile from her is extremely rare. Jingliu is just as depressed, as well as very traumatized, however unlike Acheron she is so filled with sadness and grief she is incapable of being numb. Additionally, they both have memory issues, caused by Acheron being an Emanator of Nihility, a Self Annihilator, and Jingliu being mara-struck.
However, one of the major differences between the two is their differing mindsets and views. Despite it all, Acheron is a person who wishes to move on from the past, as she believes that there is nothing there for her, moving towards the future as she continues working towards her goal. On the other hand, Jingliu unhealthily clings to the past, refusing to move on and let go of it, and has long since become bitter and longing for revenge. Whilst the two are both depressed, very unhappy with their existence and being alive, they also retain a difference in the type of suicidal they are. Acheron is not actively seeking death, her mindset being more akin to not seeing the point in living, as it is pointless and she would be fine with dying. Jingliu on the other hand is someone who deeply dislikes being alive, and does not value her existence, being actively more than willing and ready to die if she was physically able to.
Fanon[]
Acheliu is not a popular ship, and considered to be a very rare pairing, however it is somewhat known amongst the fandom, particularly the bit that enjoys femslash ships. They have a few fanarts on the internet and a few dedicated shippers purely due to the fact they looked nice together, or that their equally stoic personalities would go well together. However, they were not spoken about much and are easily overshadowed by majority of the ships for their respective characters. A bit after Penacony's release and Acheron's lore was leaked, a few more people started to take interest in them, pointing out the similarities between them, and believing that they would definitely get along.
Fans of the ship typically like the ship due to the fact they are extremely alike, leading many fans to believe they would get along well, or would at least have someone to share their loneliness with. Due to Acheron's status as a drifter who travels the Cosmos, fans hope the two could end up meeting if she ever traveled to The Luofu. The fact that both of them want to kill the Aeons also sets up more potential for a meeting, and fans have theorized the potential dynamic they would have with their shared goal. Fans usually like to think of them as the trauma couple whose relationship would mainly involve silence and shared understanding, or even comfort, as opposed to a more romantic or sexual one.
Acheliu is easily looked over by the fandom in favor for both Acheron and Jingliu's most popular ships, AcherSwan, Acherobin and LiuBai. It rivals the more rare pairings of Stelleron, Yotaru, RuanLiu and Hualiu, despite being less popular, and falls at about the same level of popularity as Achebass and Achenabi.
