Ainbedo is the het ship between Ainz Ooal Gown and Albedo from the Overlord fandom.
Canon[]
Ainz, formerly known as Momonga, was a human gamer who dedicated himself to playing Yggdrasil, a DMMO-RPG game that stood out above the rest of the games in Japan and had as an avatar a powerful skeleton sorcerer at level 100 until he transformed in said avatar when the Yggdrasil servers were closed. Albedo was an NPC in the form of a vampire, created by Tabula Smaragdina, until she took on a life of her own when the servers shut down and currently she is a guardian overseeing the other guardians in the Great Tomb of Nazarick and first wife of Ainz.
It all begins on the day that the Yggdrasil servers will close, during which Momonga goes up to the throne room, where Albedo, still an NPC, awaits him. Momonga opens the menu to check information about Albedo. He stopped at the part that says that "Albedo is a refined lady on the outside, but on the inside she is a nymphomaniac", but since Momonga thought it was in bad taste, he decided to use his Staff of Ainz to change and reprogram Albedo's behavior a little. Not knowing what would happen next, he decided to erase the nymphomaniac part of Albedo and put it as a fantasy that "Albedo is deeply in love with Momonga" and then orders her to kneel in a position of loyalty.
Just when he thought that he himself would instantly exit the game when the servers shut down, something strange happened. He was permanently trapped in the world of Nazarick as if it were his new real world and Albedo herself took on a life of her own, beginning to speak to Momonga. He is very surprised to see her like this. After giving some orders to 2 NPCs, Momonga asks Albedo to approach him, but finds it embarrassing when she does so in order to feel her love for him. There, Momonga just realizes that that was why he himself changed about Albedo's information before. Then, to avoid further embarrassment, Momonga orders Albedo to gather everyone in the combat arena on the sixth floor.
Later, when everyone is gathered, Albedo appears in order to get closer and show her loyalty to Momonga, but another jealous vampiress named Shalltear starts an argument with her about being Momonga's wife. As there was the idea about Momonga having multiple wives, Albedo and Shalltear fought over who would be the first wife.
Some time later, Albedo is left in charge of managing Nazarick, while Ainz was away to gather more information as an adventurer on E-Rantel. She was naked in Ainz's bed when Narberal Gamma contacted her, updating her on Ainz's status. She was horrified when she heard that Narberal was sharing a room with Ainz.
Since then, Albedo is always vying for Ainz's affections, showing outbursts of jealousy whenever someone seems to be getting close to him. However, despite this, she states that, as the Supreme Ruler, it would be strange for him to only have one wife, implying that she would be happy for him to take other women as wives or "concubines" like Shalltear with the which one usually fights, as long as she was the one he loves the most. She takes Ainz's orders as the absolute top priority, punishing anyone, even a Floor Guardian, who would dare disregard said orders.
Furthermore, her feminine skills, especially those related to being a housewife, are excellent, and during her free time, she can be seen sweeping, sewing, among other things in the Great Tomb of Nazarick. Although her motive is unknown, she enjoys cleaning and her desire to have everything clean frequently leads her to clean things even if it's only to impress Ainz. In particular, her ability to sort through shelves is unmatched.
Some time later, Albedo informs Ainz that Shalltear has rebelled. Albedo accompanies Ainz to visit Nigredo on the fifth floor and asks him to locate Shalltear. After the Wish Upon a Star spell fails, Aldedo tells Ainz to retreat to Nazarick.
Albedo accompanies Ainz to the Nazarick Treasury to obtain a world item. She finds her creator, Tabula Smaragdina, but discovers that it was not him, it was Pandora's Actor, Ainz's personal creation. She tries to persuade Ainz to never leave Nazarick and Ainz assures her that he will kill Shalltear. Ainz orders Albedo to restrain anyone, who is likely to intervene in his fight with Shalltear. She held back and tells Demiurge that Ainz will be victorious against Shalltear, when he attempts to go help Ainz.
After the fight and Shalltear's revival, Albedo and the other Floor Guardians beg Ainz that he never do such a thing again, and that he allow them to handle any future incidents that may occur.
Isekai Quartet[]
Before the events of Isekai Quartet, Ainz and Albedo as always appear together, with Ainz on the throne and Albedo at his side, depicted as his right hand. Albedo is seen presiding with Ainz over the meeting before his subjects: The specific topics to be discussed are: manipulating the kingdom of Re-Estize, allying with the Baharuth Empire and monitoring them to establish the Great Tomb of Nazarick and the kingdom of the Sorcerer. Ainz. Demiurge reports a "strange occurrence" in Nazarick regarding a red button. Ainz is cautious as he orders Albedo and his subjects that if they find such a button, they should notify him immediately to follow the routine of avoiding traps. When Ainz becomes worried about the possible consequences of pressing the button, Albedo asks if something happened, to which Ainz replies that everything is fine. But he, without realizing it, sits on the dreaded button that just appeared on the throne, which transports everyone to a different world. There they find a group made up of a human boy and 3 human girls from the KonoSuba universe. Since then they all spend in a high school, along with the protagonists of the Re:Zero and Yojou Senki universes.
Fanon[]
Ainbedo is the main official ship in the Overlord fandom. At first, fans found it strange since Ainz, as a skeleton, decided to pair himself with a human-looking girl, but later they began to adore this ship since it was learned that she is a succubus, a species vampire, so pairing between 2 undead creatures became a tradition.
Because Shalltear is Albedo's rival in terms of feelings for Ainz, Ainbedo is also Shainz's rival in terms of fans. However, Ainbedo is more popular because Ainz was the one who voluntarily chose Albedo as his lover even if it was as a joke.
