Airian is the femslash ship between Airi Momoi and An Shiraishi from the Project SEKAI fandom.
Canon[]
Airi is a third-year high school student and attends Miyamasuzaka Girls Academy, meanwhile An is a second-year attending Kamiyama High School. They are both members of different groups, Airi is an idol apart of MORE MORE JUMP! and An is a member of Vivid BAD SQUAD. Both were experienced in music before joining their respective units, as An was a popular performer at her father's cafe, WEEKEND GARAGE, and Airi formerly a member of the idol group QT.
The Tomorrow We Hope For[]
In Episode 7 of the event story, Airi and An briefly interact as An was visiting the shrine with her group that Airi was volunteering at. They all wish each other a Happy New Year, before An leaves to her wish.[1]
Wishing to the Blue Sky for Your Happiness![]
Airi and An are both invited to a wedding photoshoot. In Episode 2 of the event story, An with Kohane overheard Airi sneezing because of her cat allergy and goes up to her and Shizuku to talk. The two formally introduce themselves, An recounting about their chat on New Year’s during the event The Tomorrow We Hope For. After some stuff with the photoshoot and more speaking they both decide to call each other by their first names.[2]
After Kohane and Airi are done getting changed into their outfits for the shoot, they discuss what the others would look like. Airi commenting how she thinks An's gonna look gorgeous as the bride, lamenting about how they can't really ask for a better person for the photoshoot.
An soon comes out in the wedding dress, Airi pointing out that the dress and tiara looks lovely on her. The shoot soon begins with Airi and An taking a photo together, after the photo, Airi after seeing how nervous Kohane looks gets An and does a fun pose with her. The three have fun with the photoshoot, eventually Shizuku joins in and the four do it together. After they’re done, An thinks about how Airi lightened up the mood in a flash. Sometime later when An doesn’t return from a break, Airi worries a bit about her. She’s then relieved when she comes back with Shizuku and is soon impressed by her performance with Kohane, thinking they’re both amazing.
They all notice a cat in the tree An climbs up a tree to retrieve the kitty, An ends up falling out of the tree and Airi immediately rushes to her side. Airi’s impressed that An managed to catch the falling cat with her skirt.
After the photoshoot, Airi and Shizuku are running by a park. Airi hears An and her group practicing and is amazed, thinking about how good they are. Their singing gives her and Shizuku more motivation to run.

In the event, Airi and An both help out Nene with her play. In Episode 5 of the event story, After An is asked to introduce herself for the play she talks about her goal and how she'll push herself and her teammates to get better. Airi comments on this, noting how An’s goal suits her well.[3]
In the play both Airi and An’s characters sing happily together out in the street.

In one of their area conversations together they are talking about their siblings. Airi is surprised when An mentions she doesn’t have any siblings, saying how she seemed so dependable. An replies saying how she appreciates that since Airi also seems dependable, then asking about Airi’s siblings. Airi says that she has both a younger sister and an older one, An thinks it’s cool that she’s a middle child. [4]
In another area conversation the two bump into each other at the Shopping Mall, they look at some cute cakes at a café together. An talks about how she was going to make one with a friend sometime, hoping that it would turn out as cute as the cakes they were looking at. Airi offers to make one with An sometime, An thanks her as the two make plans together.

Fanon[]
Airian is a very rare pair in the overall Project SEKAI fandom, mainly due to their lack of interactions. It's mostly overshadowed by their more popular ships Anhane, Shizuairi and Airiena
This ship first caught attention in the "Wishing to the Blue Sky for Your Happiness!" event which caused some people to begin shipping Airian, as it supplied shippers with plenty of Airian moments. Other reasons why some people ship them is because of them having similarities, such as having energetic personalities. The two are also popularly headcanoned as lesbians. However, some people prefer them platonically.
Airian currently has 5 gen works on AO3.
