Emu recognizes Airi as the person who did the lion dance on the Good Morning Show. Emu says that she loved the lion dance, and she does it together with Airi. Airi thanks Emu for watching the show and says they should dance together again sometime. Airi and Emu form an alliance with Saki Tenma since they all plan to make surprise gifts to show their appreciation to everyone. Airi learns that Emu puts on shows at Phoenix Wonderland, and she mentions that she went to see a night show there. Emu tells Airi that she, along with everyone else in Wonder Stage, thought up the night show, and she expresses her gratitude to Airi for watching the show.
Emu calls Airi "Airi-chan" before apologizing and correcting herself to say "Momoi-senpai." However, Airi says that Emu doesn't have to be so formal, and she tells Emu to call her whatever she'd like. Emu then calls Airi "Airi-chan-senpai," which Airi calls a cute choice. Airi starts calling Emu and Saki by their given names and says she'll be sure to take care of such cute kouhai.
Airi and Emu go to the mall with Saki to get the ingredients for what they’ll make, baking the sweets at Saki’s house the next day. When Tsukasa, Ichika and Shizuku show up, Airi lies to them by saying they were doing dance practice and Emu had been thinking a lot about dance for her shows. Airi says that Emu and Saki are her cute kouhai to her, and she wanted to help them out.
Airi, Saki and Emu all successfully make the sweets and give them to their friends.

Airiemu is a huge rarepair within the Project SEKAI fandom. It is overshadowed by more popular ships like Shizuairi and Emunene. The "Secret ♡ Operation Valentine's Day" event caused some people to ship Airiemu, as it supplied shippers with plenty of Airiemu moments. Other reason why some people ship them is because of them having similarities, such as having energic personalities and being pink-haired. However, some people prefer them platonically. Airiemu is often shipped alongside Airisaki and Emusaki, giving rise to Airiemusaki. In AO3, Airiemu currently has 5+ gen works and 1 work in the romantic tag. The ship als has a bit of fanart.
