Akalynn is the femslash ship between Akali and Evelynn from the League of Legends fandom.

Canon

Akali and Evelynn never interacted in the original timeline since they are from different nations. Akali is a rogue assassin from Ionia while Evelynn is a demon who lures in prey with the voluptuous façade of a human female, but once a person succumbs to her charms, Evelynn's true form is unleashed. In the K/DA universe, however, they are depicted as friends and are part of the same musical idol group.

This group, a product of Riot Games, is centered around four "League" champions — Akali, Ahri, Evelynn, and Kai'Sa. K/DA debuted with the single "POP/STARS" in 2018. Evelynn is the lead vocalist while Akali is the main rapper. Evelynn is voiced by Bea Miller and Madison Beer while Akali is voiced by Soyeon from (G)-Idle.

In the popstar interview of K/DA, it is said that Akali is the group's secret weapon. Akali says that Eve and Ahri work hard to encourage each of them to unleash their minds. For example, Akali wrote the rap for “POP/STARS” so many times, and each time Ahri encouraged her to go further, while Evelynn is more direct. Evelynn told her to stop trying to be the most creative rap artist in Asia, and to just be it. In the POP/STARS MV, Akali's rap part is followed with Evelynn singing in the background.

In the K/DA ALL OUT interview, the host asks the group what they have been up to in these two years they were on hiatus. Akali answers that Ahri focused on songwritring, Kai'sa traveled to the world for dance, and in Evelynn's turn, Akali was going to describe that she made an amazing thing in mind, but she got interrupted by Evelynn who says that it was a secret, and at the end she calls Akali "darling". The host asks if this is when Akali left K/DA and she looks up to Evelynn and then both of them start laughing. Akali says she didn't know she "left" the group until she read it up online.

Fanon

Akalynn is a fairly popular ship in the League of Legends fandom. Currently, the ship has about 400 fics on AO3, the second femlash ship with most works after CaitVi, and it's the most written ship for both Akali and Evelynn. Prior to the release of Arcane, Akalynn was the most written ship in the League of the Legends tag.

Fans noticied that Akali and Evelynn are usually depicted next to each other in a lot of official content. They also seem to like the dynamic between a sophiscated and elegant woman with a rambunctious one with a wild personality, and a lot of them also like to point out their height difference.

• According to the official K/DA website, they are both Taurus.
• K/DA Evelynn's in-game passive music is the instrumental of Akali's rap verse from POP/STARS.
• In the K/DA universe, they have a difference of 4 years in age. Akali was probably born in 1997 while Evelynn was probably born in 1993,based on the available information of their Chinese zodiac signs and the fact that Akali is the youngest member. Evelynn, according to this theory, is the oldest member in K/DA.
