Akasaimota is the poly ship between Kaede Akamatsu, Shuichi Saihara and Kaito Momota from the Danganronpa fandom.
Canon
Shuichi had befriended both Kaede and Kaito during the game. Kaede and Shuichi mostly hung out in the first chapter, and Kaito sometimes interacted with them. One example would be the moment in which Kaito asked Kaede for a hug a bit before the death road of despair. After Kaede's execution, Kaito had punched Shuichi. Surprisingly, that didn't affect how their relationship would progress, as Kaito and Shuichi would soon become good friends in the killing game, making Kaito a support character.
Kaito had continuously tried to make Shuichi 'grow' in a way, due to the fact he seemed depressed a majority of the time. Kaede had been positive towards Shuichi often, too. Sadly, that didn't last long, as Kaito ended up getting executed due to the fact he had tried to commit to a plan he had with Kokichi. Shuichi felt devastated after both deaths, as he had been close with both. Kaito ended up using Kaede's death as a motive to continue going on. Kaito's attempts to make Shuichi grow may have been because of Kaede.
Throughout the story, Kaede and Shuichi is heavily implied to be in love. Meanwhile, Shuichi and Kaito are only friends as Kaito sees him as a sidekick to himself. After Kaede's death, Shuichi was extremely depressed meanwhile Kaito was so upset at seeing Shuichi depressed that he attempted to make Shuichi get over her death. It succeeds, as Shuichi appears to be more confident in himself after Kaito's training. However, his depressed feelings return after Kaito goes missing. He is reassured after Kaito's execution, as he feels motivated by making sure Kaito didn't die for nothing.
Fanon
The polyship is shipped due the close friendship Kaito and Kaede had with Shuichi, both acting kind towards him. Akasaimota is sometimes used as a solution for who to ship Shuichi with if they can't decide between Saimatsu and Saimota and sometimes also Kaimatsu. This trio remains less popular than Training Trio, however. This ship as a poly ship isn't very popular, nor is Danganronpa poly ships in general. Rather, it is more common for people to ship Saimatsu or Saimota by itself. Another common reason for people shipping this pairing is due to the need for poly ships in Danganronpa.
