Akikari is the het ship between Yukari Takeba and Akihiko Sanada from the Persona fandom.
Canon[]
Yukari and Akihiko are a year apart and attend Gekkoukan High. They are also members of SEES. In the Japanese and Reload English versions, they often address each other by their surnames rather than their first names. In the original English version, they are casually called by their first names. Yukari and Akihiko care greatly for Mitsuru, as they can only address her by her first name.
During the love hotel in July, Akihiko and Yukari could not be paired when Arcana Lovers forced SEES party members to split into pairs. Yukari will always be paired with Makoto, and Akihiko will be paired with Junpei or Mitsuru. When Yukari confronts Mitsuru about the creation of Dark Hour and Tartarus, she accuses Akihiko of knowing the truth about the Dark Hour with Mitsuru and Ikutsuki. Akihiko is offended, and he is in the dark just like her.
Female Route[]
Like the male route, Akihiko can only be paired with Kotone, and Yukari will be paired with Junpei or Mitsuru in the July full moon operation.
Social Links[]
Yukari and Akihiko are both Kotone’s new Social Links on her route.
Yukari's Social Link ranks 9th. When Yukari invites Kotone to a group date, she remembers that Kotone is already in a relationship with Akihiko. She decides not to take Kotone on a group date. Yukari realizes Akihiko will get mad at her if he finds out. This extra dialogue only concludes if Kotone chooses the lover route in Akihiko’s Social Link rank 9.
The Answer[]
Akihiko and Yukari were the only ones absent a day before the dorm closed. Their reasons for not coming are Yukari, who is attending cram school, and Akihiko, who is busy training at the gym. They both receive calls from Mitsuru when she notices something off as the day repeats March 31st. They both come to the dorm shortly after Aigis awakens to Wild Card's ability.
When they decided to use their keys, Yukari and Akihiko opposed their decision. Yukari wanted to use her key to go to the past to stop Makoto’s sacrifice, while Akihiko was not interested in changing the past. Yukari accused Akihiko and Ken of not only having no desire to save Makoto and accepting the present but also caring about themselves. Yukari’s words greatly angered Akihiko and Ken.
Weird Masquerade[]
In Sakuya’s route, Arcana Lovers charmed Yukari to be paired up with Akihiko in the toned-down version of the July full moon operation. Later, Akihiko gets overwhelmed by a charmed Yukari and tries to reason with her until Sakuya manages to bring her and Mitsuru back to their senses.
Persona 4 Arena Ultimax[]
Three years later, Yukari and Akihiko joined the Shadow Operatives, an organization Mitsuru created to investigate Shadows-related cases.

The Journey[]
- On Kotone’s route, Yukari notices Akihiko’s swimsuit and comments that it makes her red face by looking at it. Akihiko explained his swimsuits had water resistance, but that wasn't Yukari’s reason. She shyly tells Akihiko not to adjust his swimsuit further.
- In Kotone’s route, when Junpei asks Akihiko who his type is, his answer is unknown, but it implies Yukari is not his type.
Fanon[]
Akikari is among the few well-known fans in the Persona 3 fanbase. Many fans believe Akihiko and Yukari are potential love interests for each protagonist. Makoto is for Yukari, and Akihiko is for Kotone. They can only be painted with the protagonists for each route. Many fans do fan art and fanfiction, often presenting themselves as love interests for Mitsuru's love.
