Aladfar is the slash ship between Aladdin and Jafar from the Aladdin fandom.

Canon

Jafar is looking for a "Diamond in the Rough" who will enter the Cave of Wonders and steal a magic lamp so that he can wish to be sultan of Agrabah. He took a diamond from the sultan and used a machine to see who would be that Diamond in the Rough, who turned out to be Aladdin. Eventually, he decided to call the guards to imprison him so he could take him to the Cave of Wonders himself.

Once in the dungeons, Jafar went to Aladdin disguised as an old man, released him and offered to go to the cave of wonders with him. When they reached the cave, Jafar told him that he would reward him in exchange for bringing him the magic lamp. When Aladdin was running away from the cave, he gave the lamp to Jafar hoping that he would save him and give him his reward. However Jafar to end up trying to kill him until Abu saved him and the two were trapped in the cave. In the end it turned out that Abu stole the lamp before the cave closed, so Jafar's plan failed.

After all, Aladdin returned to the sultan's palace as Prince Ali, ruining Jafar's new plans to marry Jasmine. The sultan introduced Jafar to Ali and Jafar sarcastically replied that "I was ecstatic" to meet him. He intentionally mispronounced his name calling him "Prince Abubu". Jafar tried to throw Ali out by telling the sultan that he isjust like the other princes. In the end, Jafar came to the conclusion that he could only get rid of him by killing him.

Jafar finally commanded the guards to throw Prince Ali into the sea. However, Aladdin was saved thanks to Genie. After that, Aladdin went to tell the sultan that Jafar tried to kill him, while Jafar kept hypnotizing him. Seeing what Jafar was doing, Aladdin took Jafar's scepter and broke it. This is how he showed the sultan that Jafar was controlling him with his power, making him decide to send him to dungeon. Meanwhile, Jafar noticed that "Ali" was carrying the magic lamp, realizing that it was actually Aladdin himself. Jafar managed to escape from the guards while telling Aladdin that it didn't end here. Jafar decided to go back with his plan to get the lamp, causing Iago to steal the lamp from Aladdin.

Iago managed to steal the lamp and Jafar wanted to become sultan. So Jafar was able to unmask Ali and show everyone that he was really Aladdin. Then he got rid of Aladdin by flying to Antarctica.

However, Aladdin returned to the palace and Jafar found out about it by looking at Aladdin's reflection in Jasmine's crown. So Aladdin and Jafar met in a final battle. As they fought, Aladdin called him a snake, to which Jafar responded by literally turning into a snake to fight him. Near the end, Jafar told Aladdin that he couldn't do anything without the Genie, to which Aladdin replied that as powerful as Jafar was, he was nothing compared to the great Genie. This motivated Jafar to want to become a genie himself, so that he was trapped in a lamp, being defeated by Aladdin.

Fanon

Aladfar is the most popular slash ship within the Aladdin fandom. Most fanworks surrounding this couple are explicit in nature, with very few choosing to look at the romantic relationship between the two rather than a sexual one. Fans enjoy the idea of shipping a hero with a villain, as seen in other popular Disney ships such as Arsula, Malora, and Helsa. Jafar also appears to be rather obsessed with "Prince Ali", which is another driving factor in this ship.

On AO3, Aladfar is the second most written ship for Aladdin and Jafar. It is also the third most written ship in the Aladdin (Disney Animated Film) tag. There are currently 80+ written works.
