- “Greetings, aleconnorcanon. Huh, what an interesting username, that's for sure. It's Alec here: "Connor is my husband, and I love him." Well, there you have it. (mutter) Didn't expect for someone to ask me to say that. (end of the muttering) But really, I like Connor. He's a great man.”
- — Alec's personalized greeting to a fan, doing their request.[1]

First interaction
Alec and Connor quickly became good friends once they were placed together in the Yellow Team, mainly due to their similar adult lives they share with each other. Their first interaction occurs in "Gone Buck Wild!", during the night, when Connor is worried about Riya and her bad attitudes. Alec asks if he is okay and offers that if he wants to talk, he will be at the lake with Connor, however he still worriedly states that he is still okay.

Connor wonders if Alec is a therapist
In "H2Oh-No!", Connor wonders where Alec is, and Miriam says that he went out to look for food for breakfast, which Connor questions because he walked out in the rain. After Riya and Connor split up, Connor turned to Alec for advice. When they meet, Alec wonders what happened after hearing the frequent screams, and when Connor explains his condition, Alec advises him based on his own unfortunate background. He also admits that he was entirely honest with Connor, which moves him, having looked away in pity.
- “[...] I'm sorry. I'm just trying to be honest with you.”
- — Alec opening his heart by explaining his background to Connor, therefore apologizing since he's trying to be honest with him.

Alec assures Connor he can trust him
In "Sandbag Sabotage" they had notably grown closer when in the morning Alec offers Connor Miriam's breakfast that she had prepared (which rejects) and he greets him asking if he was okay. Connor agrees with Alec over Riya's refusal to change, with Alec thinking it will be better the sooner he accepts. Connor asks Alec if he used his wife as a basis for soothing him, and Alec affirms since she wanted children and he didn't, despite their love for each other. Connor, on the other hand, has always wanted to start a family like Alec's, but he never knew when the ideal time was due of his youth, and he is frightened of getting old and regretting it. However, Alec soothes him once more, saying that it was time to find someone who shared his desires and could trust him, as they both smiled at each other. In the confessional, Connor admits that he likes Alec and thinks he is cool, despite the fact that he appears to be a strange guy.
- “Even though he comes off a bit mysterious at times, I like Alec! Underneath all he seems like a good guy.”
- — Connor's comment about Alec.

'Don't trust Alec'
After the challenge, things between them decline when Miriam tells Connor about Alec's Villains Alliance and that either he or she will go out that night. Despite his dismay, Connor chooses to vote for Miriam over Alec since he understands there is no purpose in voting for him. Before she leaves, Connor receives a mysterious envelope from her in which she warns him not to trust Alec.

Connor rejects Alec's offer
At the start of "The Turbulent Triathlon", in the afternoon, Connor goes outside to stretch his legs, and Alec offers if he wants some company, but Connor declines because he wants to be alone this time. In the confessional, he explains that Miriam gave him the tickets in the previous episode so that he could deliver them to the other teams and expose Alec's Villains Alliance. While Alec and the rest of his team are sleeping, Connor walks to the other teams' cabins and places notes in front of them before sneaking back in to see whether Alec is still asleep.
Despite this, Connor and Alec continued to get along well, as evidenced by their collaborative efforts during the challenge.

Alec cheers Connor by suggesting an upbeat tone for the lyrics, asking if he liked alt rock
In "Strike a Chord", Alec asks Connor if he cares to join him on helping to write the song for the musical challenge, and he accepts, exclaiming "Let's knock their socks off!". While on this, Alec shares about thinking of something classical, something inspired by Beethoven's early work, and asks for his opinion, but Connor brings up Riya's topic once again, however Alec was unsure how to answer, and asks instead if they can stay focused. Connor comes to an idea: writting a song about her so he could reach her by singing his heart out, but Alec is against this idea, reminding his own promise of the two having agreed to stay apart, but Connor still insists over the topic, to which Alec asks him to relax, and to deal with the split-up. Since Alec was growing tired after Connor brought his ex-wife up, he questions if he was going to help to write the song or not, and, letting up a sigh, Connor agrees. To cheer him up, Alec proposes to do something upbeat, and asks if he was an alt rock fan, making Connor smile in remodeled humor. In the confessional, Alec says the next:
- “Connor's...not doing too well. When I first approached him, all I wanted was an alliance, but now... I've grown to appreciate the old geezer.”
After their team loses, the members discuss and come to an agreement on who to vote off: Connor. However when Yul and Grett leave Riya and Alec alone, Alec asks her if she seriously wanted to vote Connor, but she confesses going with Yul. Alec agrees by saying he trusts Connor, but also asks if it was worth it breaking the Villains' Alliance just to save him, but Riya says that Connor's far more trustworthy than Yul or Grett.

Alec apologizing to Connor
When the next eliminated is revealed, it turns out to be Connor as it was planned, and Alec apologizes to him saying that it's not personal. On the confessional, Alec says that on paper the vote was easy, but he felt like when he reads 'Old Yeller' to his son for the first time, adding that it was the best for Connor, since he can't be around Riya. He says having lost a genuine friend, and yet, the game continues. At the very end of the episode, after Connor gives thanks to the patreons, he says that his opinion of Alec has changed a lot, but he is a "good-looking" guy (both in the english and spanish version).
On episode 7, after Grett leaves Alec and Riya to find Yul, the man asks Riya how she was feeling about last night's elimination, and she says that Connor was dragging her down like always, and that at least he can't ruin her game now like last time. Alec knew that Connor was loyal to her, but he would have never worked with the villains, and he adds that he kinda misses him, making Riya ask him the point of thinking about the past. While on the challenge, the notice about Miriam's letter was new to Alec, and questions Riya further about it, also looking for suspects, to which she asks it had to have been Connor since Yul and Grett had no reason to expose them. Alec is unsure he'd really do that, but would after a moment think otherwise and feels like a fool when Riya tells him that Connor tried to pull a fast one on them. Alec feels guilty about having almost saved him last elimination, and apparently has his mind clear because he realizes that Connor was actively going around ruining their game, but Riya worries more about Fiore and Ellie since the two were in danger.
On episode 11, when Alec and Fiore sabotage the teams' motorcycles, Connor notices this and angrily demands an explanation from their actions. Riys tells the older man to leave them be, and Alec agrees with her. Connor furiously asks the divorced man if this is what he was teaching [Fiore], however she reasons that he can't even control his "little girlfriend" (Riya), making Alec chuckle and apologizes, to then correct himself that Connor needs to stick to the challenge. When Connor wins the comeback and also inmunity for the next elimination, in Alec's confessional scene he couldn't believe that Connor was smarter than he thought. The rich man's confessional is followed by, assuring that Riya's day of reckoning is coming.
In "Hungry like the Wolf", Tom begrudgingly mentions Connor that Riya, Alec and their "band of misfits" had obliterated them last elimination, and couldn't pull together to stop them on time. In another scene, Riya expresses her worriness towards Connor to Alec, as he could ruin everything, but Alec says that she's overthinking, however the actress warns him on not understimating Connor because she believes she pushed him over the edge. Alec laughs at this allegation because it reminds him of when Connor did the same thing to her on the hand glider. In the challenge, the two gather at a same point, with Alec greeting Connor as he asks him if he had seen the flag.

Connor plays dumb in front of Alec
Connor just had it hidden in his pocket, however plays dumb to Alec, to which the latter curses as he remembers that the last he saw it, Tom had it. Alec expresses about needing the inmunity, prompting Connor to ask why, and he explains that with Riya safe, he was the next target for the heroes. The rich man then brings up something they've never discussed: Connor's elimination, stating he'll never forget Alec's vote for him and that he believed they were friends. A fatigued Alec says that he did it to rescue him since being around Riya was unhealthy for him, and he knew it was the only way Connor would recover.

Fighting over the flag
The latter then questions whether Alec merely did it to help him move from Riya, to which Alec responds, "Absolutely!" with a smile, advising him to look at himself now and that he's delighted he's back. However, a second later, Alec detects something on Connor's back, and when he discovers it is the flag, he immediately attacks Connor in an attempt to grab it, and the two begin to struggle over it. At the last second of the challenge, Alec manages to snatch the flag from Connor, therefore winning inmunity alongside Connor and Riya.
In "Dis-vengers", during the challenge, Alec is worried that Connor might know too about him and Riya kissing last night (because Aiden had spotted them on the act and he's on the same alliance as the rich man).

Fishing together
In "Tick-Tock TikTok", Alec and Connor are seen fishing together on the dock, and the latter admits having forgotten how much he enjoyed fishing. Alec wonders how Connor is so positive, to which the rich guy responds that "a man's happy place is with a fishing pole". Alec corrects the question about "[being positive] all the time", pointing out that he just seemed to have it all together. Connor appreciates Alec's compliments, and the latter continues by noting that Connor is hardworking, has high values, and is the CEO of a major corporation. A moved Connor tells him to stop, labeling him "too kind" (placing a hand on his shoulder), and Alec wishes he was half man Connor is.

Connor is moved by Alec's compliments directed to him
The elder man suggests Alec to stop putting himself down like that and says he's a good guy, prompting Alec to ask, "Even after what I did to you?" Connor exclaims that it's a game and he's over it, since thanks to him, he can finally put Riya behind him. Alec looks away with notable troubled expression. When Aiden and Jake spill the beans about Riya and Alec's kiss, Connor was oddly indifferent to it and said good for them.

Alec attempts to talk to Connor about "the kiss"
They would be then paired up for the next challenge, which'd be making TikToks of the other partner. When the game starts, Alec suggests Connor that they should talk about "that kiss", however Connor ignores the question (but with a dejected look) to point out the cliff in which they'd make the tiktok. When they arrive, Connor reads what's on the phone and says he "doesn't have any floss on [him]", as Alec is about express his desire to apologize to him, the rich guy cuts him off to save it, because they're in last.

Carefully switching places
When they arrive at the second phase (doing the griddy next to [a] sleeping bear), Connor is seen filming Alec performing the dance move nervously in front of the animal, and when it's finished, the older man gives him a thumbs up with a blank expression, and Alec reciprocates with an anxious smile. They'd then carefully exchange places so that the two could each have their own tik tok video.
They'd then walk to the next stage in which they have to do the "Renegade" dance, however none of them know what is that. They spot Riya and Aiden in the place, and when the latter shouts them "No cheating!", Alec reasons the e-boy if he really wants Connor at risk of going home, threatening to help them or he's toast.

Connor and Alec are forced to row the boat after it has been sabotaged by Riya
As they're on the final phase, after they make their final tik tok (WAP dance), they notice their boat was sabotaged, and are forced to row with their hands. As they're rowing, Alec still insists about talking with Connor over [the kiss], and that he's trying to apologize. Connor queries why he needed to apologize, and Alec says because he kissed Riya. Connor states that he is no longer with her, so why should he care. He continues to question Alec if he liked her before or after he voted him out, believing that he wanted to help him, but Alec's true nature shows through. A guilty Alec states it not being true, saying that he's not a bad person. Connor reminds Alec's own words that "you can't change who you are".

Alec uses the shark as engine for the boat
When the librarian notices a shark in the river, he takes out a fishing pole with a confident smile, and when the older man asks what he's doing, Alec remarks Connor's own words that "a man's happy place is with a fishing pole", adding, "Right?", and when he catches the shark, it immediately boosts the boat fast enough to get them to the goal. Alec turns around expecting Connor to react, but he isn't even looking in his direction, which disheartens Alec.
They manage to reach the goal in third place, so that'd mean Grett and Gabby were in last. During Connor's talk with Jake at the dock, the blue haired boy calls Alec an asshole for what he did to Connor regarding Riya but Connor quickly retorts this saying he's not.
In "Weight Off Your Shoulders," Riya asks Alec for help to chop a coconut, and a decayed man approaches her, but Riya realizes something is wrong and confronts Alec about it, but he refuses to discuss it. She assumes that it was about Connor, but Alec switches topic about his ex-wife as he tries to chop open the coconut: about what if she was right about him, and he couldn't get it out of his head. Once he's done with the coconut, he shares a half of it with Riya, and she suggests the two to stay focused. A depleted Connor would then appear after the two devise a plan of flipping one of the heroes to their side, and since he didn't thought anyone would be there, he's about to leave, but he's almost stopped by Alec, whose face is then cupped by Riya's hand and suddenly drags him into a kiss. After Riya leaves, Alec tries to call out Connor again to clarify the misunderstanding, but the older man has already left the scene, leaving an agitated Alec standing alone, blurting out "Oh...".
During the challenge, when it's Connor's turn to choose someone he wants to interrogate, he selects Alec to then remind him that, at the start of the season, when he was helping him to move on from Riya, Connor asks if was all that genuine. Alec affirms, and after a moment of tension, his lie detector helmet reveals that he's telling the truth.

Alec sits with Connor in the shore, post-challenge
After the game, Alec approaches a soured Connor on the beach, and they exchange a "Hey". Alec asks whether he was fishing, and Connor says that it gives him a moment of peace. Alec sits next to the older guy, with Connor glaring at him as the librarian remarks that it was quiet without Yul and Gabby, to which Connor answers that he cannot say who they have left is a joy to be around. Alec emphasizes that he never had feelings for Riya, to which an enraged Connor demands an explanation of why Alec kissed her, questioning it as "his remarkable rizz," and Alec reveals that he hasn't been with anybody in the previous few years, recalling that he saw the lie detector and before explaining why he voted him out, Connor intervenes to clarify the motive: "for his own good". He tells Alec that when people have problems, they talk about it like adults, but Alec says that's all he knows because he tends to walk away during a discussion (citing his ex-wife Cheryll as an example) and acts as if nothing matters, but admits to Connor that he's terrified of confrontation on the inside, and that's who he'll always be. He claims he never intended to hurt Connor, but Riya appears unexpectedly and exclaims, "But I do!", pushing the older man to the water while Alec grimaces at the incident. When Alec is dragged out the scene, he attempts to reach Connor, but his "Stop!" falls on Riya's deaf ears while Connor spectates in confusion this moment.

Alec and Connor are almost hit by a rock kicked by Riya.
In "Gone Downhill", during the challenge, they're running together until they're outrun by Riya, who manages to climb the rock wall first, followed by the men. Once they reach the second phase, Kristal mentions that they're both right on [Riya]'s tail. At one instance, when Riya is climbing the blockade, she decides to break a fragment of loosen rock from the hill with her feet, almost hitting both.

Connor saves Alec from falling.
Alec asks if he's okay, but Connor exclaims back in anger why'd he care. However, Riya kicks another rock down to them, and this time it strikes Alec, forcing him to loosen his grip and fall, but however he's caught on time by Connor, and helps him back up. Alec lets a relieved sigh out and thanks Connor, but is ignored as the rich man continues his path on the wall. Alec and Connor would then manage to step on Grett and Riya's heels, reaching to the final phase of working on a puzzle.
After the challenge, Riya walks over to Alec, who is attempting to light the fireplace with some rocks, and when he notices her, he asks what she wants. The actress says she's willing to look past this morning if he is, because they both need each other. However, the librarian notices her intentions and refuses to mess with Connor, and she "respects" his moral high ground, as they were still allies, waiting for confirmation from Alec's side. He'd then respond with a "Fine".
Alec returns to the same reunion spot with Connor, assuming that this is his new location, to which Connor responds that it has a good view of the sunset. Alec sits next to him and asks if he's still upset, but the rich man denies, surprising Alec, who then asks, "Really?" Connor responds that it's maybe the beer. Alec then clarifies that he and Riya were never a thing, but Connor "understands" by telling him that they are free to do whatever they want because they are both adults and Riya was not his, and apologizes for overreacting. The librarian asks if he remembers what he told him, that Riya will never change unless she wants to, and admits he was mistaken, which confuses Connor. Alec explains that Connor was right in not giving up on her, as that is something he has never been good at.
- “When the relationship gets rough, I'm the first to fold. And you saw the error in my ways. I just wish Cheryll gave me another chance.”

Alec and Connor toast.
Connor assures Alec that there are plenty of fish in the sea and suggests that, once this is all over, he can help Alec connect with new people. The other man inquires, "You'd do that?" and, as Connor releases his grip on Alec's shoulder, he offers him a beer can. Alec is hesitant to accept it because it is his last one, but Connor argues to not think he is special; he previously gave one to Jake. The divorced man accepts the drink with a smile as Connor explains that [Jake] spat it out, and Alec chuckles in gratitude to Connor. Connor then teases Alec, saying that if he gets tipsy, he might as well not kiss him. Alec lets out a dry laugh as they toast, and the two start laughing.

Connor is the only one who will say goodbye to Alec.
When Alec is revealed to be the next one out of the season, he asks if anyone is going to say goodbye, but no one responds, and all he gets is Riya's disinterested wave. When he is about to leave, Connor rushes up to him and tells him to wait. He extends his hand to Alec as he says, "Good game, man," and a surprised Alec shakes his hand as he thanks him, wrapping his hand around the rich man's shoulder. Connor inquires, "For what?" to which Alec smiles, "For everything". After Alec's departure, Riya walks to Connor to ask how'd it feel that his "little toy" isn't in the game anymore, but Connor angrily questions Riya how could she dismiss Alec like that, after all he has been by her side the whole game, however Riya denounces Alec as "expendable", just like everyone else.
As Alec responds to Patreon members, he comes across a comment calling Connor a flop, but Alec defends him by telling the user not to speak ill of that man.
In "State Of Shock", during the challenge's explanation, which is to dress mannequins of designated All-Stars participants, and also the final four's friends, Kristal assigns one to Connor, and she explains that he'll have Alec. He's seen grasping the first accessory: Alec's glasses, when he reunites with Jake in the maze. However, he's the only one who haven't managed to do any progress on his mannequin.

Alec and Connor look into each other's eyes smiling.
In "No Vacancy", they are seen sitting next to each other as they played, alongside Yul and Fiore, a trivia game, led by Marcus and Nina. Connor smirks when Alec suggests Yul to try picking up a book once in a while after the korean boy complains about Alec's intelligence in the game. After the losers' challenge, when it was Fiore's turn to pick a finalist to give a big disadvantage to, she chooses Riya, prompting both Alec and Connor to look at each other while sharing a smile.

Fanon[]
Aleconnor is a popular ship within the fandom, having emerged on their first appearance together, with people noticing the obvious similarities related to their problems regarding their personal relationships: Alec, with his ex-wife and Connor, with Riya, and how they got to communicate with each other about this. While the ship is still growing, there is a ship that is notably rivalized by ConRiya, although it's not very much raising on popularity due to Riya's egotistic nature and the mistreat she had transmitted to Connor, making it a toxic ship. People headcanon Connor as bisexual due to his relationship with Riya, and friendship towards Alec, which is interpreted as a slow burn romance between the old men.
On March 25th, 2024, a fan had revealed that Alec's greeting had arrived to them, and had posted it publicly. Many were excited that the ship was acknowledged and also how Alec wasn't weirded out for the request, and were confident that the ship was canon. Fans also tend to refer the pairing as 'old men yaoi/romance'. One of the possible origins of the ship is a fan art by @cozincc on Twitter (now X), which depicted them kissing until they got caught by Yul, who instead of first asking about what they were doing, he decides to question Alec if their secret alliance meant nothing.
