Aletyler is the slash ship between Alejandro and Tyler from the Total Drama fandom.
Canon[]
Alejandro helps Tyler, but Tyler mistakes it for affection.
In the intro of "Total Drama World Tour", Alejandro and Tyler are next to each other in the pyramid made with all of the contestants.
Tyler is one of the first people Alejandro decides to attempt an alliance with. In "Walk Like An Egyptian - Part 1," Tyler, along with Bridgette, Ezekiel, and Izzy, fall off the bus. When all four of them are helped up by Alejandro, Tyler pulls away and quickly says: "I like girls." Later, Tyler notes Alejandro and his girlfriend, Lindsay, chatting flirtatiously. After the challenge, Alejandro pretends to be delighted to have Tyler, Noah, and Owen on his team, yet he curses many times in Spanish in the confessional after, calling them incompetent. Tyler is also seen discussing the team name with Alejandro.
Alejandro tells Tyler that he isn't "goat face."
In the next episode, "Walk Like An Egyptian - Part 2," Tyler, along with Noah and Owen, cheer after Alejandro's pep talk. After Chris says "goat face," Tyler assumes he meant him, and takes offense by responding with a "hey!" Alejandro puts his hand on Tyler's shoulder and mentions that he believed Chris meant the goat, as he points to it. Tyler, seeming to understand, says: "oh, cool, thanks!" In "Super Happy Crazy Fun Time Japan," Tyler compliments Alejandro's commercial idea, and agrees with it. He also calls Alejandro 'Al', despite Alejandro disliking that nickname; he gives no reaction to being called it by Tyler.
In "Anything Yukon Do, I Can Do Better", Tyler tells the team that he's going to kick it into high gear, leading Alejandro to roll his eyes.
Tyler accidentally spits his food on Alejandro.
In "Broadway, Baby!," Alejandro and Tyler agree on how great it is to be in first class. Owen was lying on top of Noah all night, so Noah compared himself to Tyler since the whole team didn't remember him. Tyler, upset about this, responds with an angry "hey!," resulting in him accidentally spitting food on Alejandro's face, to which Alejandro seems angry about. During the challenge, Tyler is required to bring the apple to his teammates, but he appears to be struggling. Alejandro tells him to "use his head," but Tyler takes it too literally and repeatedly headbutts it to his teammates until he passes out.
The two interact briefly in "Can't Help Falling in Louvre." As Tyler walked the stage for the tiebreaker (that Lindsay selected him for,) Alejandro and Noah laugh at the ridiculous outfit and hairstyle Lindsay gave to him, resulting in Tyler looking at them angrily. However, due to him glaring at Alejandro and Noah, Tyler falls off the stage.
In "Newf Kids on the Rock", when helping Tyler up into the boat, Alejandro holds Tyler's hand for a lingering time. Alejandro also helps Tyler with the challenge of kissing the fish, putting his hands on his shoulder, and telling him to think of Lindsay.
In "Jamaica Me Sweet" Alejandro has a confessional, stating "Luckily, I don't need Tyler for his brains. I'm still not exactly sure what I need him for, but it's definitely not brains." After Alejandro attempts to give DJ confidence, Tyler asks why Alejandro is being so nice to DJ, leading Alejandro to tell him that he feels a certain kinship, putting his hand on Tyler's shoulder, causing Tyler to look at him with a strange look. Alejandro also tells Tyler to trust his instincts in the challenge, later, he asks Tyler to trust his instincts instead. Tyler saying "Whatever you say, Alejandro!"
In "I See London" both Alejandro and Tyler were on the plane together. Later, when Alejandro and Heather look at each other smiling, Tyler frowns.
In "Greece's Pieces", Owen mentiones in his confessional that Alejandro and Tyler were super tight after last episode, including the fact that they voted together. Alejandro also tries to get Tyler to confess what he saw in this episode, being overly friendly to Tyler. Asking him for a favor that he would repay later, which the favor ends up being Tyler confessing over Gwen and Duncan's kiss. In the elimination ceremony of the episode, due to an animation error, it seems like Tyler and Alejandro swap seats inbetween Chris talking. Alejandro also whispers about Duncan into Tyler's ear.
In "The Ex-Files", Alejandro tries to get Courtney to flirt with Tyler, nudging Tyler. However, he stays loyal to Lindsay. In the episode, Tyler tries breaking out Owen with his hands, much to Alejandro's annoyance. Telling him to get an artifact and that it on't fall out of the sky, at that time, an artifact falls down and hits Tyler in the head. From the artifact, two aliens come out and sting both Alejandro and Tyler.
In "Hawaiian Style" Bridgette asks the crowd if Alejandro is the reason that they're here now, Tyler raises his hand. Despite that, Tyler also decides to root for Alejandro over Heather and Cody, seemingly holding no ill will towards Alejandro.
In "Hawaiian Punch" Alejandro chooses Tyler as one of his helpers, however, due to Tyler's injured and asleep state, Tyler is unable to help Alejandro.
Fanon[]
Aletyler is one of the more popular Alejandro/Tyler ships. However, it is still rivaled by the canon ships, Aleheather and Lyler. Aletyler first gained popularity around 2010, when Total Drama World Tour was airing. It is thought that most of the Aletyler shippers came from the "Aletyler video," a fanmade video where there is NSFW. The ship is used often in memes, usually in an ironic sense.
On AO3, Aletyler is the third most written ship for Alejandro and second most written for Tyler. There are currently 140+ written works.
