Amamota is the slash ship between Rantaro Amami and Kaito Momota from the Danganronpa fandom.
Canon[]
Rantaro and Kaito are both participants in the Killing School Semester. They both die during the course of the Killing Game, although Rantaro is a victim and Kaito is a blackened. As Rantaro is the first to die, they two do not have much opportunity to interact. After first meeting Monokuma, Kaito tries to smash his Monopad. Rantaro advises him against it, telling Kaito it is too dangerous to disobey Monokuma. They are later seen together after attempting the Death Road of Despair, both looking incredibly exhausted.
With Monokuma's time limit for the first killing creeping closer, Kaito decides to put together a task force to confront Monokuma head on. He personally selects every member of the group, based on their perceived skills. He selects Rantaro to join the team, alongside six others, and the group heads to the basement. During their meeting, Rantaro leaves under the guise of using the bathroom. Kaito decides they can't work without Rantaro, and he and Tenko Chabashira go after him. Moments later, they discover Rantaro's corpse in the library.
They do not share any interactions in the non-canonical Ultimate Talent Development Plan. In Danganronpa S: Ultimate Summer Camp, Kaito decides to speak with Rantaro to help himself unlock new potential in his talent. Kaito asks if Rantaro has ever visited space, and Rantaro admits there are enough places he still needs to visit on Earth. Kaito remembers that Rantaro is looking for his sisters, and suggests that he can look for them in space while Rantaro looks for them on Earth. Rantaro seems amused by Kaito's suggestion, but still takes him up on it.

Fans of the ship note many similarities between their talents, with Kaito being the Ultimate Astronaut and Rantaro being the Ultimate Adventurer in Season 52 of Danganronpa. In his Free Time Events, Kaito talks about adventuring over the land and sea, and seeing space as his final realm to explore. Shippers like to imagine Kaito and Rantaro travelling and adventuring together. They especially enjoy the idea of Kaito helping Rantaro to look for his missing sisters.
Amamota was once considered to be a rarepair, but it has recently grown significantly in popularity. On AO3, it has over 230 works. It is Rantaro's fifth most popular ship, and Kaito's seventh most popular.
