Amasaimatsu is the poly ship between Kaede Akamatsu, Rantaro Amami and Shuichi Saihara from the Danganronpa fandom.
Canon[]
Although this trio don’t really interact much throughout the game, Kaede and Shuichi spend a lot of time together during Chapter 1. However, their relationship was cut off due to Kaede’s early death. Rantaro and Kaede interact in a nice way during her Free Time Events with him. A similar way going for Shuichi and Rantaro in Salmon Team. There is also a few interactions between them in Ultimate Talent Development Plan.
Rantaro admires Kaede for her leadership skills. Kaede thinks that he is a refreshing person and easy to talk to. However, Kaede was surprised how Rantaro acts so care-free and relaxed before the class trial in the demo starts. She states that even though things have become more complicated, Rantaro has found the way to clear the whole situation, which made her curious. She was also confused how Rantaro speaks so calmly against Monokuma during the situation and finds Rantaro's unknown talent a mystery during the game.
Shuichi seems to strongly believe in Kaede, reassuring her and telling her that "if it's her, she can do it". Shuichi's presence appears to comfort Kaede, due to his status as a detective. However, she admits that he seems unreliable. She attempts to help raise Shuichi's confidence by giving him pep talks. Shuichi admitted to Kaede that he feels motivated by her.
When Rantaro met Kaede Akamatsu and Shuichi, Shuichi seemed confused how Rantaro mentioned about everyone gathering and getting amnesia. He thinks he is some way mysterious and has some clues about his backstory. Later, Shuichi became quite hostile towards Rantaro later in Chapter 1 based on his suspicion as being the mastermind and forgetting his talent. It's also seen that Rantaro becomes more comfortable with Shuichi, as when Shuichi questions him he jokes about being nervous about being questioned by the Ultimate Detective, and later laughs at off as him teasing Shuichi. This shows his suspicion of Shuichi likely subsided as he began to believe and trust in Shuichi's Ultimate, as well as possibly begin to realize how resourceful Shuichi may be in the future.

The ship sailed mostly because of fans who can't decide between Amamatsu, Amasai and Saimatsu. As such, they include all three characters together in a poly ship. Even so, it is considered a rarepair in the fandom, and doesn't have a vast amount of supporters. Another possible reason why some may ship this pair is because of the heavy demand for polyamorous ships in the Danganronpa community. Despite how most polyamorous Danganronpa ships end up falling into obscurity, Amasaimatsu actually has a surprisingly high amount of fan content supporting the pair.
