After a reunion with "The Home Team," America says to tell her "babe" that she's on her way. Back in New York City, America reunites with her lover, Lisa. Since she was late to their dinner, America profusely apologizes. But Lisa understands she was busy with important matters and tells her that she has a heart that is always beating for others. So as the two lovers flirt and get touchy with each other, Lisa tells America to get inside.
Once they're done, they lay in one another's arms in bed. Then, Lisa breaks the atmosphere by asking America if she can ask something. America tells her that they can share anything. And that's when Lisa opens up about feeling like this whole plan is only America's journey, so she asks her to take a break from one another since she won't be joining her anymore. America misinterprets this as Lisa not wanting anything to do with her anymore. So Lisa keeps reassuring her that that's not true and that she deeply loves her. America, hurt, doesn't listen to Lisa anymore and as she opens a portal, she tosses the matching necklace she shared with Lisa. As she leaves, she leaves a brokenhearted Lisa behind, repeating that she does love America very much.
After this, America started college on her own. However, when Lisa got kidnaped by the Chavez Guerrillas, America immediately went looking for her. Since the Chavez Guerrillas needed her help, America decided to stay and fight alongside them, with Lisa's support. After they manage to win, Lisa and America have a conversation. Then, Lisa reveals that she wasn't kidnapped, and that instead she came there willingly because the Chavez Guerrilla needed America's help. America condemns Lisa's behavior but ultimately tells her that she understands that they do have different priorities in life now. But either way, she asks Lisa if they can forget that for a minute now and be together, if only for a while.
Later, when Madrimar arrives and opens several star portals for the people with America to leave the two of them alone, Lisa tells America that she'll stay with her. But America tells her she has to deal with this on her own. So the two of them say goodbye, as Lisa tells America that she will always be rooting for her.

America x Lisa is a rare ship in the Marvel fandom, despite the fact it's a canon femslash ship. This is due to the fact that Lisa is a side character. And because the ship is often overshadowed by America's ships with more popular female characters, such as Kate Bishop.

- After Lisa becomes a paramedic, she meets and becomes friends with Dr. Jane Foster, as the two of them bond over the fact that they both dated superheroes. Lisa can't stop reminiscing about her relationship with America and despite having broken up with her a long time ago, she still blushes as she talks with Jane about America.[1]
