Amethyst is a character from the Steven Universe fandom.
Character[]
Amethyst is a "Gem", an alien being that exists as a magical gemstone projecting a holographic body.
Amethyst was found by Rose Quartz after being "overcooked" (staying in the ground for too long, which led to her initial lack of programming and short stature), and was then integrated into Rose's circle, becoming a Crystal Gem after being taught how to speak and fight.
She is portrayed as carefree and rambunctious, often butting heads with the other Crystal Gems, especially Pearl. However, she's also incredibly kind and loyal, often looking after Steven like a big sister. Her origins have resulted in big insecurities and she often feels like the other Crystal Gems are leaving her behind.
