Aileia is the femslash ship between Amilyn Holdo and Leia Organa from the Star Wars fandom.
Canon[]
Leia and Amilyn first meet when they join the same pathfinding class, arranged by Queen Breha Organa. Leia needs to learn how to pathfind on her course to one day become the Queen of Alderaan, and Breha decides that her daughter needs more friends her own age. She arranges for the class to be comprised of other teens that are taking part in the Apprentice Legislature. Upon first meeting, Leia finds Amilyn to be odd and a bit of an airhead. Still, she comes to learn that Amilyn has great ingenuity when she helps them successfully complete their first pathfinding test by turning her portable tent into a tobaggon.
Leia and Amilyn continue to interact with each other, both in pathfinding classes and in the delegation in Coruscant. Leia takes note of Amilyn's wild hair and eccentric outfits, and finds them somewhat odd. However, when one of their other members of the Apprentice Legislature speaks ill of Amilyn's appearance, Leia stands up for her. She also does all that she can to keep Amilyn from ending up in trouble when she speaks out against the Empire during a Legislature assembly. Later, Amilyn invites Leia to join her in Gatalentan skyfaring. For the first time, Leia comes to see Amilyn as a true friend and confidante.
Following the rise of the First Order, Leia breaks away from the New Republic and forms the Resistance. Amilyn joins her, and eventually rises to the rank of Vice Admiral. After the Battle of Starkiller Base, the Resistance is left decimated. Leia is severely injured in an attack by the First Order, which places Amilyn in charge of the remaining Resistance forces. Amilyn's decisions cause derision in the crew, most notably from Poe Dameron. He puts together a coup to overthrow her and take charge of the mission, but is stopped by Leia awakening from her coma. Leia agrees with Amilyn's decisions, and is shown hugging her.
Realizing that they have very few options left, Amilyn volunteers to stay behind on the ship to ensure the safety of the rest of the Resistance. Leia begs for Amilyn to leave with them, but Amilyn says that she currently outranks Leia and that it is her duty to go down with the ship. Reluctantly, Leia departs. Amilyn heads to the bridge, and uses the hyperdrive to blast through twenty Resurgent-class Star Destroyers, effectively buying her allies enough time to escape. However, she gives up her life for the cause.

Amileia is a popular femslash pairing in the Star Wars fandom, and one generally well-liked by fans of the sequel trilogy. Many were glad to see Leia have a female companion on screen for the first time, after four movies of dealing almost exclusively with male characters. Fans of the ship were even more excited to see Amilyn and her relationship with Leia expanded upon in multiple Star Wars novels published in the late 2010s.
However, Amilyn herself is a divisive character. Those who dislike the sequel trilogy generally list her character as one of the reasons, finding her to be inconsequential and sometimes even annoying. Others didn't appreciate the fact that Amilyn "took away screen time" from Leia, by serving as the interim leader of the Resistance. These fans tend to only like shipping Leia with Han, as that was what was presented in the Original Trilogy.
Amileia currently has over 275 works on AO3. It is Amilyn's most popular ship, and is Leia's most popular femslash ship. However, it greatly pales in comparison to the popularity of Scoundress, Leia's canon (and most popular) ship.
