Angbang is the slash ship between Mairon/Sauron and Melkor/Morgoth from the Middle Earth fandom.

Canon[]

After rebelling against the supreme deity Eru and beginning his pursuit of conquest on Middle Earth, the malevolent Ainur known as Morgoth would begin recruiting and swaying several power-hungry Maiar to aid him in his mission, with the greatest and most powerful of these followers being that of Mairon, who under Morgoth's reign abandoned his old name and would become known as Sauron. Sauron had grown disillusioned, obsessed with the concept of maintaining his idea of order within the realms which attracted him to Morgoth's cause of reshaping Middle-Earth to how he saw fit. Sauron never felt inclined or tempted in any form to betray or conspire against his master, regardless whether this was purely out of fear or genuine admiration remained to be seen, it can still confidently be said he held the utmost regard for Melkor throughout his service.

Sauron would become Morgoth's closest and most trusted advisor over the thousands of years they spent at war, with Sauron taking the role as his lieutenant, being gifted one of the two strongholds Morgoth had claim over. Morgoth would inevitably be captured by the Valar, who imprisoned him within The Hall Of Mandos while Sauron managed to successfully evade capture. Sauron would bide his time for three ages, patiently waiting for the return of his master. Melkor would eventually be released from his his imprisonment by faking feelings of remorse, who then destroyed The Two Trees of Valinor out of jealousy, plunging Middle Earth into complete darkness for a brief period, thus resulting in the creation of the Sun and Moon. Sauron would assume command of the war as Morgoth travelled East to corrupt the beings of men.

An army led by the Mair would result in the cataclysm of the siege Sauron and Morgoth had orchestrated, resulting in the final defeat of Morgoth, who was finally permanently defeated and banished within The Void for all eternity. Now free of his master, Sauron forsook his allegiance and gained the title of Dark Lord. Now having to adjust to his newfound status of independence, Sauron would then become the representative of Morgoth in his permanent absence, claiming himself to be "Morgoth returned." Eventually he would pour much of his power into a ring he forged within Mount Doom to ensnare the users of the rings of power. After it was separated from his body in a fierce battle, Sauron's physical form was now destroyed after imbuing so much of his power within the ring, now reduced to a mere spirit never able to take corporeal form again.

Fanon[]

Melron is one of the most popular ships in the Middle Earth fandom, largely due to how much material there is of Sauron and Morgoth's partnership, with their reign over Middle-Earth spanning several thousand years in canon. Sauron's unwavering admiration of Morgoth resulted in large amount of fans jokingly interpreting it as an actual infatuation, with some drawing comparisons to Mr Burns and Smithers from The Simpsons.

On AO3 it the most written ship for both characters.
