Angoma is the het ship between Angie Yonaga and Ryoma Hoshi from the Danganronpa fandom.
Canon[]
Angie and Ryoma are both characters from Danganronpa v3: Killing Harmony. However, the two do not interact very much in canon, and they have no interactions in the non-canonical Ultimate Talent Development Plan or Danganronpa S: Ultimate Summer Camp. As Ryoma was the second victim of the Killing School Life and Angie was the third, they both have a limited amount of screen time. Ryoma is also much more reclusive, preferring to keep to himself, whereas Angie throws herself into group activities such as her Student Council and Kaito's strategy meeting to defeat Monokuma. Ryoma's talent is based on athleticism, while Angie's talent is on the Arts.
In Chapter 1, Angie and Kaede Akamatsu walk in on a discussion between Ryoma and Rantaro Amami. Ryoma was offering to die to fulfill Monokuma's 48 hour time limit, but Rantaro would not let him. Kaede joined in convincing Ryoma to live. Angie did not argue for either side, instead simply watching the discussion unfold. In Chapter 2, Angie helps Himiko put on a magic show. Angie suggests using live piranhas in the magic trick, and these are the piranhas that later devour Ryoma's corpse. In Chapter 3, Angie creates wax figures of the four deceased classmates; Rantaro, Kaede, Ryoma, and Kirumi Tojo. These are intended to be used in a ritual that will bring one of her classmates back to life.
In the non-canonical Danganronpa v3 Anthology comic, Ryoma and Angie share a chapter together. Angie is intent on converting Ryoma to her religion, but Ryoma is growing sick of her following him around. She can be seen tailing him through the courtyard, hanging from the ceiling of his dorm room, and even following him into the bathroom. Angie eventually decides to show Ryoma the power of her god through a match of tennis. Angie proves to be a formidable opponent, even using her talent for art to help her succeed. She summons cardboard cutouts of herself that shoot tennis balls, but Ryoma fires back with a shot that blocks their cannons. Angie insists that she won't give up in showing Ryoma that God loves him, but eventually her legs give out and she collapses. Ryoma provides her with advice for how to heal her legs, and even offers her water to drink. Angie says that Ryoma must be a really nice guy because he held back on her; instead of destroying her artwork completely, he simply blocked the cannons. Ryoma denies that was his attention, although he seems to be lying.
Fanon[]
Angoma is considered a rarepair in the Danganronpa fandom. Although both characters come from the same game in the franchise, they do not interact very often. The ship currently has less than 10 fics on AO3. Angoma likely sailed as a result of Ryoma and Angie's interactions in the Danganronpa v3 Anthology comics. Fans may also be drawn to the fact that Ryoma is one of the deceased that Angie creates a wax figure of in Chapter 3. The two are opposites, with Ryoma being a quiet pessimist, and Angie being loud and peppy. This may also draw people towards their ship, if they enjoy the Opposites Attract dynamic.
