Flashpoint[]
When the Kingdom of Atlantic made peace with the Island of the Amazons, after they joined forces to defeat an unknown enemy, King Orin (Arthur's Atlantean name) and Queen Mera travel to the island to sign the peace treaty with Queen Diana. The moment the King of Atlantis and the Queen of the Amazons shook hands, they came in lust with one another right under Mera's nose. Soon after that the two rulers started an affair and although Aquaman and Wonder Woman were careful, Mera caught them in the action. Mera didn't confront them in that moment, so she decides to confront Diana when it was just the two of them. Diana and Mera battled one another, and it ended with Diana cutting off Mera's head. She then sent it to her Atlantean lover as a gift. The sight of Mera's decapitated head enraged Aquaman and swore war upon Wonder Woman, to avenge his queen. The war ended with Wonder Woman killing Aquaman, and then she falls in battle. All this streamed from the paradox that was created when Flash prevented his mother's death, so when Barry fixed the original timeline to how it should be, the deaths and the events that led up to them were undone.

AquaWonderMera is a rarepair in the overall DC Comics fandom. While the three are not considered a love triangle in the main universe, or the fandom overall, there are many who would still like to see the three together. Regardless of if it's a solution to a love triangle or not. As many tend to ship Mera with both Arthur and Diana. The latter due to them frequently being a couple in almost all DC media. And the former due to interactions they've had in the past, though mostly due to their relationship in DC Bombshells.
Portrayal of the three varies. Those that ship it in Bombshells or the main timeline will often have it be a case of "Mera has two hands". With her being with both Diana and Arthur, but them not with each other. Often in Flashpoint AUs the three will have all three end up together. Stopping the major conflict of that universe.
