Rosalyne died in a foreign land... But you heartless businessmen and dignitaries, always with a convenient excuse to remain in the comfort of your homeland... You couldn't hope to understand. So why don't you keep your mouths shut! We don't want to make the children cry...
—Arlecchino in Teyvat Chapter Interlude Teaser: A Winter Night's Lazzo

Arlenora is the femslash ship between Arlecchino and Signora from the Genshin Impact fandom.

Canon[]

Arlecchino and Signora are both members of the Eleven Fatui Harbingers. Arlecchino made her first appearance during Teyvat Chapter Interlude Teaser: A Winter Night's Lazzo, alongside her fellow Harbingers. Not much is known about their relationship. Furthermore, it's unlikely to have much on them due to Signora's death. Arlecchino was introduced in Teyvat Chapter Interlude Teaser: A Winter Night's Lazzo. One of Arlecchino's voice lines mentioned that back when Signora was alive, she frequently visited the House of the Hearth bringing gifts for the orphans under the Knave's care, even though it seemed superficial at the time since the Fair Lady basked in those children's praises. Arlecchino wished Rosalyne to reunite with her long-dead lover Rostam, implying the two Harbingers were close enough to share their pasts with each other.

During the teaser, Arlecchino says that Signora died in a foreign land. However, the other colleagues kept convenient excuses to remain in the comfort of their homeland. So Arlecchino tells them to keep their mouths shut so as not to make the children cry. It is possible to see the respect that Arlecchino has for Signora defending her honor, looking annoyed by the comments they were making about her. In Cutscene Epoch Winter: Tales of the Fatui, there is also a time when Arlecchino stands in front of Signora's tomb.

Arlecchino and Signora have distinct personalities. Signora proved to be a confident and mysterious person. Meanwhile, Arlecchino is described by Childe as not having a sane bone in her body, and expressed disdain for her lack of loyalty. Scaramouche also described her as someone who puts on a cordial front but is truly crazy. Despite the differences, they are likely to do well because of Arlecchino's respect for Signora.

Quotes[]

“She and Pierro were the first two Harbingers I got to know. When she first came to House Of The Hearth as a guest, her high and mighty demeanor was not liked by the children. After that each time she came to visit she always brought presents, stately expressing that "people who just don't like me don't have to take them". For the sake of presents, the children quickly learnt to play along, and she accepted them all. I suspect that she very much enjoys the feeling of being surrounded by children surrounding at her side, which perhaps originates from her inner loneliness... Regarding her sacrifice, I deeply regret it, I hope she is able to reunite with her deceased lover.”

Fanon[]

The ship received attention because of the respect Arlecchino showed for Signora when she defended it during the teaser in which it was introduced. Despite this, it is not so popular within the Genshin Impact fandom. It's often overshadowed by Arlebina. This is likely due to the fact that the play in which the names of the characters originated has Arlecchino and Columbina being a couple in it.

Arlenora received newfound popularity after Arlecchino mentioned how Signora loved to hang around children while she visited the House of the Hearth. Common fanart and fanfiction revolve Lyney, his siblings and other orphans learning to love Signora (or her gifts at least) and Signora learning to take care of them back as their surrogate Mother to Arlecchino's Father.
