Arouxie is the friendship between Douxie Casperan and Archie from the Tales of Arcadia fandom.

Due to Douxie being Archie's bonded wizard, the dragon form cat serves as the young wizard's familiar. As he looks out for Douxie and helps him when he can. Like when they were living on the street and used their magical abilities to at buy, but King Arthur's cruel no magic law forces them to keep their abilities a secret to avoid the King's wraith. When one of the King's knights uncovered them being a wielder and creature of magic and were at their mercy, Merlin manages to save their lives by making Douxie his apprentice and giving the two a home in the castle; as well as protection from Arthur's law. During those days the two still found time to hang out with one another as Archie kept Douxie company when he does his task chores for Merlin. After Merlin's battle with Morgana forces Douxie's teacher to place himself in a deep death-like slumber, Archie took it upon himself to over see the rest of Douxie's magic lessons. By giving Douxie advice on which spells he should use, how they work, makes sure that Douxie doesn't get careless and that the young wizard makes wise decisions.

Despite the two being from the mid-12th century their bodies haven't aged and the tasks Merlin left for Douxie has the two leaving Camelot. Some time around the 21st century they came across Arcadia Oaks and made the small town their new home. During night hours, the two work together to keep its streets safe from magical threats, since magic (as well as aliens) is drawn to Arcadia. During one of their portal night, where Douxie has Archie serve as bate to draw unfriendly creatures out into the open, Merlin contacts the two and tasks them to find the Guardians of Arcadia. Douxie has Archie find Toby, Steve and AAARRRGGHH!!!, while he tries to find the changelings and aliens; but failed to do so before he goes to the book shop he works at to wait for Archie. Once Merlin took them to the safety of the floating castle of Camelot, the two were glad to see their former home again before Merlin informs all of them the danger of the Arcane Order and their mysteries Green Knight who bares Camelot's embalmer. Douxie's master had made plans to take them to the safety of the past, but before they could the Arcane Order attacks them and Douxie is sent into the past with Jim, Claire and Steve; while Archie stays behind in the present wondering when in time Douxie was sent to.

The past timeline Douxie was sent to was during his student days under Merlin and shortly before the Battle of Killahead Bridge. Knowing that he'll need help to get himself and the others back to the future without making damaging changes in the past, but didn't want to approach Past Merlin on the subject, Douxie enlists the help of Past Archie. Knowing that while he has changed a lot through the centuries, both Past and Present Archie are very similar to one another. As Douxie will need Archie's wisdom and support in order for him to keep his promise to his trapped friends; while Past Douxie is kept out of sight for the time being. Even though they needed to be careful of what they say or do in the past, Archie supports Douxie decision to free Jim and the other captured creatures from Arthur's dungeon, as long as the said King or his Knights aren't aware of their involvement; their well meaning actions end up damaging the past timeline and endangers the future one. Luckily the Time Map shows Douxie, Archie and the others possible past future events that can help them save history and make it better if they mend the bond Arthur and Morgana share. Despite the fact that Merlin wanted Past Douxie to accompany him, Archie doesn't say anything when Present Douxie switched places with him. The sleep spell Douxie uses on his past self, however, has Archie warning Douxie of the said spell's side affects. If anything terrible happens to Past Douxie it will affect Present Douxie, and something similar will happen to Present Archie in the future if something happens to his past self. As Douxie talks to Arthur about family he mentions that the closes thing he has to family is Archie.

After Douxie failed to get Arthur to make amends with Morgana and it has caused more harm to the past, part of his confidence was shattered and became worried of the uncharted waters their actions placed them in. Archie helps Douxie to get his confidence back up so he'll be able to help Claire master her new shadow magic and save history. When a changeling attacks the castle and Douxie's spells managed to contain the blasts from the planted Dwärkstones, Archie knew that they wouldn't last long and saw that they were placed around the very tower Merlin and Past Douxie are currently in; he informs Present Douxie of this before anything could happen to him through his past self. After they got the two out of the tower, Archie stays close to Past Douxie so he can protect him and to ensure that he isn't seen by Arthur or his knights; while Present Douxie helps them to fight off the changeling.

When it was time for Douxie and his friends to return to their home timeline, Past Archie sits on the shoulder of Past Douxie as they watch them leave through the time portal. Douxie made sure to send them back to the moment they shortly left at so they'll be able to save his Archie and the others from the Arcane Order upon their return.

Fans love the bond that Douxie shares with Archie; and that is why some add Archie in their Douxie fanart and some of the later's ship art. Before Wizards aired, some had suspected Archie being Douxie's familiar when they combined it with their theories of Douxie being a wizard. After fans learned about the upcoming film, Rise of the Titans, they became to wonder if it might show them how Douxie and Archie met.

Some fanart of the friendship ship despites Archie with child Douxie, due to the theories of the two meeting one another when Douxie was young. Since Douxie stated in "Witch Hunt" that Archie is the closes thing he has to family (before he met Merlin) and the fact that the two act like brothers and are there for each other in times of need. After Wizards ended, fans began to draw fanart of the two with Nari, as they imagine what their new lives with her would be like. Along with some comparing them to Sabrina and Salem, since they too are a young student of magic and a talking black cat who helps his young magic wielding friend. There have also been a rare occasion when fans compare them to Hiccup and Toothless from How to Train Your Dragon, from Douxie having a few Hiccup-like traits and Archie being a black colored dragon.

On AO3, the friendship ship has 65 fanfics. There are also many fanart and gifs of the two together on Tumblr and DeviantArt.
