Canon[]

The Beast of Gévaudan Arc[]

During his journey to Gévaudan, Noé gets lost in the crowd while he is boarding a train with Vanitas. Noé bumps into a young boy and politely apologizes to the young vampire before they split up to board the train, with Astolfo acting bloodthirsty and desperate to kill the vampire.

When they meet again, Noé finds out that Astolfo killed people for harassing him because he thought his face looked like a woman's. Astolfo hates being called a woman even though he told him to stop and finds it annoying, so he decides to kill them. However, Noé is angry about this and doesn't like seeing Astolfo add to his wounds by trampling on corpses, and they have a huge conflict. Noé fights with Astolfo, realizing that he is different from the kind and easy-going Roland, and senses his hatred for vampires. However, Jeanne, who was fighting the beast, entered the battlefield between Noé and Astolfo, and they stopped the fight.

Noé hesitates to fight Astolfo, but Vanitas warns him not to hesitate or give in to his enemy. The young vampire agrees.

After they are separated by the book of Vanitas, they reunite. Vanitas leaves Noé to deal with Astolfo, and blames the boy for keeping him close to Jeanne, the one who hurt her. Unbeknownst to Noé, he promises his best friend out of trust. Noé confronts Astolfo, trying to question why he hates vampires so much.

In the final battle, Noé asked Astolfo why? He hated vampires so much. That pierced his heart. The young boy thought of the past when a vampire who used to be his friend betrayed him and killed his entire family, including his little sister who was drank her blood until she died. Astolfo was branded with the mark of possession without consent until Roland came to his rescue, becoming a paladin of the church. Astolfo was very dissatisfied and tried to attack Noé. During that time, Astolfo increased the amount of the medicine to increase the power of killing vampires. He used more than the prescribed amount. He started to cough up blood , His body could not take it anymore.

Noé kept defending himself and blocked Astolfo's weapon with his arm, causing one of his hands to be cut off. However, he turned around and won, using his other undamaged hand to punch Astolfo down. Although he did not give up, his body had reached its limit, and Roland came to pick Astolfo up.Noé watched the situation silently.

Amusement Park Arc[]

Noé comes to Vanitas and talks to him about Astolfo, telling him that he was lucky to have met the Vanitas who were on the ship La Baleine, not the Vanitas, but the Chasseurs. He also comments that he hates Astolfo a lot, but admires Vanitas who is different from him.

Drama CD Koi wa☆LOVE Mission! Spin-off! ~Shiratori Astolfo no Yūutsu~

Astolfo and Noe's relationship seems to be better than the main story, and Noe wants to be friends with him. They first meet when Astolfo hears that Suzuki Vanitas is having an inappropriate relationship with Roland-sensei, an acquaintance of his. Noé is shocked to hear the story, and sees Astolfo capture Vanitas for investigation.[1]

Fanon[]

AstoNoé is an unknown ship that they decided to ship, but it's assumed from the first episode when Astolfo apologized politely to Noe. And it's the most toxic ship because even though Noe sympathizes with Astolfo's situation, they clash throughout the series, being enemies and not being friendly. Also clashing with VaniJeanne because Astolfo went crazy because he heard the cursed voice and hurt Jeanne, which made Vanitas very unhappy with him, coming to hurt his Jeanne.

Although they share similar situations where their families were killed, Astolfo doesn't seem to understand Noe because of his dire situation.

There are fans who submit these stories and write fanfics on A3o, but some fans dislike them because they see them as toxic and worse than VaniJeanne, who still has some cute content. They see it as dangerous to send an underage boy to live with an older Noe, risking an unequal relationship.
