Astral Express Family is the family ship between the Trailblazer, March 7th, Dan Heng, Himeko, Welt Yang, and Pom-Pom from the Honkai: Star Rail fandom.

Canon

History

Long, long ago, a part of the Astral Express landed on Himeko's planet. She fixed the train, making the path of the Trailblaze accessible once again. The first two to join her were Welt and his blonde friend. Welt comes from Earth, and met Himeko after an expedition led him to another world. Dan Heng boarded the Express running from a past he does not like to talk about. March 7th was found in six-phased ice. Welt used his and his friend's powers to free her from the ice. Welt's blonde friend eventually left without saying goodbye. The Astral Express's conductor is a creature named Pom-Pom. No one knows when they appeared, but Pom-Pom always takes care of the Express and makes the family breakfast. They are also seen cleaning the Express a lot (as they complain about the family leaving their phones on the bathroom counter).

Today Is Yesterday's Tomorrow

March 7th and Dan Heng first find the Trailblazer unconscious, with their coordinates sent to them. Dan Heng takes their pulse and asks March to do CPR, which she refuses to do, saying that she is inexperienced. Dan Heng leans in to start, but then March pushes him away, noticing that the Trailblazer is already awake. After explaining their intentions to the Trailblazer, they introduce the Astral Express to them. Then, March leads the Trailblazer to meet up with Arlan.

While fighting the doomsday beast with Himeko, Trailblazer steps in to block a hit that would have hit March. However, at the same time they are gazed upon by the Aeon of Destruction Nanook, causing the Stellaron in their body to go berserk, threatening to destroy the entire Herta Space Station. Thankfully, Welt arrives just in time to mitigate the effects of Trailblazer's Stellaron with his cane.

After that, the Trailblazer can choose whether to stay on the space station or board the Astral Express. If they choose to board, they get to journey alongside the existing family. Then, Trailblazer visits the rooms of Dan Heng and March 7th, before sitting down with March, preparing for the jump.

Fanon

Many fans loved March, Welt, Himeko, Dan Heng, and the Trailblazer's interactions. There is a lot of content portraying them together, but many contain other ships, like Starch and DanCae. This ship is often portrayed with Welt & Himeko being the parents of the Astral Express Trio. Content portraying these five as only a family is few and far between, however content is increasing on sites like AO3. Many fans tend to only like to focus on romantic relationships, especially in this fandom, but many find the family's interactions cute and entertaining.
