Avatez is the het ship between Ava Ledger and Officer Goetz from the HfjONE fandom.
Canon[]
The episode starts with Officer Goetz talking to Ava. He keeps mocking the situation, making Ava very audibly agitated. Goetz asks if she really came out here because of a teenager due to her (Taylor's) story sounding dumb. Ava explains to him that the numerous disappearances are too much of a coincidence and that she needs confirmation. Goetz tells her that Parker is a nut-case. Parker enters and Ava asks if he wants any water. After Parker accepts the offer and Ava directs Goetz to get some water, he responds with some sarcasm, calling Ava "boss". Parker gives a look to Goetz after his comment, and Ava moves right away to start the interview before Goetz comes back.
Goetz comes back a few minutes later and places a water bottle on the table for Parker. Parker then recounts the moment leading up to his friend Charlotte's disappearance. Goetz interrupts him before he can finish, saying "a wizard poofed her out of existence". This obviously causes Parker to be uncomfortable and irritated about not being taken seriously, and Ava seems disgusted but continues professionally. She asks if what he says is true, and Parker, about to cry, says he knows what he saw. Goetz starts to snicker at him and Parker loses it. He stands up and corners Goetz. He confronts him, telling him that this is not funny. Ava is taken aback by this and is quite angered by Goetz. She tells Parker to sit down and yells at Goetz to get out of the room. He complies but laughs at Parker on the way out of the room.
When the interview is over, Ava tells Parker she will get someone to escort him out. She notices Parker's sudden change in tone when she says that and calls someone. Goetz is quick to pick up on the walkie-talkie and starts making his way down. Ava notices Parkers glare of annoyance of hearing that Goetz is about to come back and pick him up. Ava is quick to stop him and asks for a different cop, to which a different officer replies and goes down past Goetz.

This ship is a rarepair in the fandom. It is more rare to see it shipped in a romantic way due to the toxic relationship. The ship is still shipped across the fandom in a non-romantic way with numerous pieces of fanart of the two being together. The ship was popularized due to Goetz's only appearance where Ava and Parker are being constantly interrupted and mocked by Goetz throughout the episode, even when he's kicked out of the room by Ava. The ship grew across the fandom and is still supported to this day. Their rivals are Copbar/Goebins, the ship between Officer Goetz and Parker Robins/Candy Bar, Avalice, the ship between Ava Ledger and Alice Howling/Tomatoey, and Avazine, the ship between Ava Ledger and Taylor Nolan/Magazine.
