Ayanika is the femslash ship between Ayano Aishi and Monika from the Doki Doki Literature Club! and Yandere Simulator fandoms.

Canon

Ayano and Monika have never canonically met, and the two are from two separate universes. With Monika club president (formerly) of the literature club in Doki Doki Literature Club, and Ayano having the choice to be a member of any club of her choice in Yandere Simulator. The only known reason these two seemed to be shipped together is because of the things they have in common. Both girls fall in love with the main character, or in Ayano's case, one of the main characters. And, both girls are considered Yanderes, as when they find out there are other girls out for the main character that they love, they start to kill the girls in order to reach the main character.

Both of their stories takes place in a school building. For Monika it takes place in certain parts of the building, but the mainly the Doki Doki Literature Club room. While for Ayano it takes places throughout the whole building. Ayano and Monika are both part of a club that is present at their school. Monika is and was the president of the Literature Club, while Ayano can choose to be in whatever club she wants to be.

Ayano and Monika both seem to not be able to interact much with the person that they love. This is since Monika is not able to receive poems from the MC nor is able to spend time with them. Monika is only seen spending time with the MC after she eliminated the other girls. For Ayano on the other hand, she is not able to get to close to Taro or talk to him since if she does so she will end up heart broken. Unlike Monika, Ayano still is not able to get close to Taro since she has not yet eliminated all her rivals.

Monika and Ayano have eliminated their rivals in different ways. However it is possible for them to eliminate their first rival, Osana for Ayano and Sayori for Monika, in a similar way. This is since Monika makes Sayori feel more down until she dies, while Ayano also is able to do this for Osana by lowering her reputation causing Osana to feel more down until she dies.

Fanon

Ayanika is a rarepair without a doubt. It relies heavily on the Fandom, since the two characters have never met before. It is also a rarepair considering it's rivaling ships like YanPai and Sayonika are far more popular. The only reason they are shipped in the first place, again, is because the two are yanderes, and are in love with a specific boy, in Monika's case, it is any gender. The only canon interaction Monika and Ayano would have, is the rap battles. But, that project was canceled right after Ayano turns off the computer where supposedly Monika is, as Michaela Laws, the one who created the rap battle video, hasn't played Doki Doki Literature Club yet. Several others have made their own parodies to the video, but, those are not considered canon, as Yandere Developer has not claimed they are.

• In Yandere Simulator, Ayano has the option to turn into Monika, along with the rest of the club girls.
  • This is accessible through the Meme closet, to get to it, one has to beat Yandere Simulator once and open up the Debug Menu. Once that is done, one has to touch the poem that resides on the shelf in the Meme closet to turn into one of the girls.
