AyuRina is the femslash ship between Ayumu Uehara and Rina Tennoji from the Love Live! fandom.

Canon

Ayumu Uehara and Rina Tennoji were the students of Nijigasaki High, however prior to the story, they never sees each other until shortly at the beginning of the story. When Ayumu and her childhood friend Yu Takasaki witnessed the live concert of their famous school idol Setsuna Yuki, Yu suggest Ayumu to join the school idol club room to meet Setsuna. While looking for the club room around the hall, they sees Rina who was walking down the hall in front of them. Ayumu went to ask her if she knew about the School Idol Club, to which Rina couldn't respond to them due to her inability to show her emotions. Later, Rina asked the two if they're interested to school idols, with Ayumu responded that she's uncertain if she wants to.

After the club was formally restored, Ai suggest Rina to join the club to become a school idol after witnessing Setsuna's performance. At the front of the club room, Ayumu was observing the ceremony of their club's restoration when Kasumi placed the final piece of the club's placecard. Shortly they spot Ai and Rina walking towards them to join the club at which Ayumu asked Ai and Rina what can they can help them. Rina recognized Ayumu and Yu when they met again and recalls their earlier scene when they're looking for the school idol club. Since Ai and Rina have joined the club, however Ayumu and Rina rarely converse throughout their idol activities.

After the club's activities at Joypolis, Ayumu asked Rina if she's been playing games since childhood, she simply replied yes, given her prior experience with console and PC gaming. Ayumu also helped Rina when she got troubled ahead of her solo concert. The two eventually get along sometime as they're seen having chatter at the pool. Ayumu and Rina also worked with the baking club in preparation for the Festival. The two finally participated at their own School Idol Festival and succeeded amids the weather condition causing some activities to be postponed.

Fanon

AyuRina is among the less popular ship in the Nijigasaki fandom likely because of their little interactions. Aside from their strong introduction in both ALL STARS and Nijigasaki materials, the ship was seemingly discarded in later part of the story. Interestingly, Ayumu and Rina sports a matching peach/pink hair colors, green/yellow tareme eyes, and the cute looks of their faces. That said, some fans found this ship to have potential beyond what official materials can provide for them.

As with the rest of the Nijigasaki ships, it is popular among the lesser popular ships, but it is primarily rivaled by YuuPomu, SetsuPomu, AiRina and MiaRina.

Trivia

• Both Ayumu and Rina was previously involved (along with Ai Miyashita) as a "Famitsu App" team for the Perfect Dream Project.
• In mobile games Love Live! School Idol Festival and Love Live! School Idol Festival ALL STARS, a team only consisting of Ayumu and Rina cards can be formed and used in live songs, and in ALL STARS Ayumu and Rina can interact in certain songs with MV, and they'll also have SP animations either static image of their cards or 3D animation if their cards are formed in the SP gauge and used in the gameplay.
