MESSAGE IN A BOTTLE

B'Elanna is complaining about Seven to Chakotay, who tells her that he can't be the go between every time they have a fight anymore. B'Elanna says that's because Seven may look human, but she's all borg. Chakotay points out that B'Elanna's never tried to accept Seven, but B'Elanna says that there's a good reason for that. She says that Seven took equipment from engineering without asking and when B'Elanna went to get it she locked the door. Chakotay gets a call from Seven, and B'Elanna points out that she's now giving orders, and that if she gets in her way again, she's not responsible for what happens. Chakotay tells her to act like a senior officer, and find a way to deal with Seven.

Seven walks into astrometrics, and sees B'Elanna there. She acknowledges her, but B'Elanna continues working. Seven notes that she's re-calibrating the relay interface, and B'Elanna confirms so. Seven tells her to state her reasons, but B'Elanna tells her to say please, and that she needs to learn how to communicate better with people. Seven is confused, and B'Elanna says that people feel on edge when she's around. Seven says that being borg makes it expected, but B'Elanna says that's not what she means. She says that they're not afraid of assimalation, and just flat out says that Seven is rude. Seven is confused and B'Elanna explains everything that Seven does that's considered rude, but says that doesn't expect Seven to change over night. However, she wants her to remember that they're not all a bunch of drones. Seven says that the recalibration is illadvised given the risk to the link, but B'Elanna says that Seven hasn't even been listening to her. She starts to complain, when there is a frequency coming from the relay station. B'Elanna asks if it's the Doctor, when an alien appears onscreen demanding to know why they're using the sensor network. They try to explain, but the aliens terminate the link, loosing contact with the Doctor.
