Babs is moving out of her dad's place and makes it to her apartment, knocking on her new door. She meets her new roommate, Alysia, who takes her inside. She says that she doesn't have any rules, besides no creepy boyfriends, and asks if Babs has one. Babs says that she wishes, but realizes how badly that came out. Alysia says she'll help Babs with her boxes, and they can find out what they both hate, and Babs says that'd be nice. Alysia does warn her that she's a bit of an activist, and shows her wall saying "Fight the Power". She asks if they're all good and Babs says that they are.
They head outside and Alysia offers to help unload her van, but Babs tells her to wait. She says that she has fragile stuff, and Alysia says to suit herself. She notices the wheelchair lift, and asks if it's for someone in her family and Babs says kinda. Alysia says that being trapped in a chair like that would feel like prison, and Babs knows that Alysia doesn't mean anything by it, but doesn't have the time to explain things to Alysia. Alysia says she has to head to work, and hugs Babs bye. She apologizes for being a hugger, and Babs awkwardly says it's okay.

BabsAlysia is a rare pair within the DC Comics fandom. It is mainly shipped by those who enjoy "Hero x Civillian Ally" ships, over "Hero x Hero" ships. Many who do ship it, or even just like Alysia, were really excited when it was announced that Alysia would be in the Batgirl movie. Hoping that it would lead to more people shipping the two. However, any hopes of this were dashed when the movie was cancelled, and the footage was scrapped.
On AO3, BabsAlysia is the most written ship for Alysia. There are currently 5 written works.
