BabsQuinn is the femslash ship between Barbara Gordon and Harley Quinn from the DC Animated Universe, DC Comics and DC Super Hero Girls fandoms.
Canon[]
Initially, the two Gotham women are commonly presented as enemies. Even though there have been a few known versions and universes that do have them as friends and allies. Along with there being occasions when Harley teams up with Batgirl.
DC Super Hero Girls[]
In both versions of the DC Super Hero Girls series, Barbara and Harley have been featured as friends and fellow students. The original 2015 web series has Harley Quinn attending Superhero High School to learn how to be a hero than a villain, while Barbara first started out as one of the school's teachers before Batgirl became a student. Allowing the two to become friends, who sometimes get placed on the same team for missions. They are fellow students in the 2019 cartoon as well and have moments of friendship when they aren't their hero/villain selves.
2015[]

Harley and Barbara didn't interact during the first season, as Babs was Superhero High's tech teacher. Before she ended becoming Batgirl and a student like Harley, in the TV special "Super Hero High" episode. They become friends in the second season and become part of the same group of friends.
2019[]
Harleen Quinzel is one of Barbara's best friends from Gotham before she was sent to Metropolis. While Barbara was on her way on becoming a hero with other hero girls, Harley took to a life of crime beside a group of female villains. The two however weren't aware of the separate paths they took during their time apart. When Barbara was missing Harley and her old life in Gotham, she gets a call from Harley begging her to come back. She does so and gets greeted by Harleen at the bus stop. The two have fun walking through the city on their way to a hero convention on the other side of Gotham. As they took selfies, have a few laughs and enjoyed their time together like they were never apart. Knowing how much of a Batman and Robin fan her best friend is, Harley got Robin to sign a photo of himself so she could give it to Barbara as a gift before she heads back to Metropolis. Babs hopes that she'll be able to come back to visit Harleen again in the future, while having no idea what her best friend has planned for them.
Harley eventually moves to Metropolis herself and gets enrolled at the same school as Babs. Barbara was excited by this and wasn't surprised that Harley hasn't changed since she last saw her. Although Barbara's new hero friends weren't too happy with Harley. Barbara soon learns that Harley has also found herself a new group of friends, that are of a bad girl variety. She tries to be supportive in order to spend time with Harley until she could no longer take it. Barbara tried to pull Harley away from those girls until she realizes that her best friend still wants to hand out of them, leaving Barbara behind. The two still remained friends with a shared interest in comics and put each other before any lost issues of Batman vs. the Joker comics. Even though the two are unaware that Barbara is Batgirl and Harleen is Harley Quinn, the two did come close to discovering each other's secret identities through the patched up injures from their previous battles.

Harley and Babs started out as enemies, with Harley being one of the Batman rouges, until they slowly began to become friends. This got Batgirl to see that there is good in Harley, no matter how many times she denies this. At the end of the series when Harley offered to help Babs, Nightwing and Robin in Batman's place, Batgirl welcomes her into the Batfamily.

BabsQuinn doesn't have a large fanbase and is mostly seen as a crack ship. Mostly due to their limited interactions, both women being shipped more often with their canon love interests. The added fact that Harley is Joker's ex, makes the ship more of an acquired taste, since he did paralyze Babs.
When DC Super Hero Girls came out and portrayed the two as friends, it drew people to the idea of shipping them. As did Harley kissing Babs in the 2019 Harley Quinn animated series. Those that aren't fans of "Hero x Villain" ships, sometimes end up shipping them in DC universes that have them as friends. Fans of the 2022 Gotham Knights game even found Harley to be flirty with Batgirl when she went to see her at Blackgate[1].
On AO3, BabsQuinn has over 25 femslash fanfics and over 10 gen fics.
