In Chapter 134, Kingsley silently stands by Donald as the Union assembly begins. Kingsley thinks that everyone in the Union is tough but they are listening to Donald not because they acknowledge their mistakes, but because they've seen and experienced how powerful he is. To keep a group of tough guys like them under control, Donald has to show them what they got.

Chapter 145
Kingsley expresses concern to Donald and says it's too early to let the Mok-Ha Duo manage subcontractors and collect money when they just became executives. Donald agrees, but he says there are too many businesses for just the two of them to handle.

He asks if he should send them away but Donald allows them to stay because sometimes they need mutts to clean up the shit. Later, Kingsley is with Donald at a cafe when Jimmy and Goseon approach to request for help in order to save Jack.

Chapter 228
Kingsley thinks that there isn't anyone who can beat Donald, but considering how much Ben Park has grown, there might be an opening. He silently declares that if anything gets in Donald's way, even if it's a single fleck of dust, he'll wipe it clean away.

Chapter 233
As everyone Union member is gathered in a gymnasium, Kingsley receives a text from someone confirming the receipt of the deposit and saying to send the rest after the job is finished. Kingsley is acting on his own without telling Donald, thinking it is in Donald's best interest.

Chapter 235-236
Gray considers Kingsley to be excessively loyal to Donald. When Donald finds out that Kingsley is responsible for Ben's absence. Donald smacks Kingsley across the face so hard that the sound attracts everyone's attention. Everyone on the battlefield is stunned because they believe Kingsley is the only one in the Union that Donald trusts completely. Kingsley, unfazed by the slap, doesn’t want Donald to face even a single percent of risk. Kidnapping Ben isn’t Donald’s will, it’s Kingsley’s. Kingsley knows Donald wants everything to be complete as fast as possible. When it comes to reaching that goal, Donald is obsessive enough not to care about getting hurt over and over again, which always makes Kingsley nervous.

A flashback shows Donald returning to the student council room in middle school, bloody and bruised from fighting high schoolers. Kingsley worriedly tells him that there isn’t a reason for him to take that much risk and says the Union can’t be complete without Donald, but Donald dismisses him and the flashback ends. Kingsley doesn’t think there’s a point in rational judgement when it comes to putting Donald at risk. No matter how minor Donald’s obstacles are, Kingsley believes without a shadow of a doubt that it is his duty to remove those risks. Donald reminds Kingsley that he doesn’t fight if he can’t win and says that Kingsley is worried about nothing. He firmly tells him that there is zero chance for his loss and his victory is predetermined.

Throughout Donald's fights against Ben and Gray, Kingsley watches from the sidelines along with everyone else.

Chapters 254 and 255
Kingsley, like everyone else, is stunned when Donald falls to his knees and eventually collapses. When Donald declares the disbandment of the Union, Kingsley expresses that he's against it, but Donald tells him not to question it. Kingsley, despite not wanting to, begrudgingly announces the disbandment of the Union to everyone. Jake tells Kingsley that Donald himself has realized the he had been waiting for someone to stop him, but Kingsley disagrees and says Donald will want to stop when he cannot get any more powerful. He says that Donald won't be able to stop himself because they've already gone too far.

Chapters 261-263
In Donald's flashback, Donald realizes he needs someone to manage people inside the school when he's not there and needs someone with a great brain to manage and maintain them. His first thought is of Kingsley Kwan. Kingsley witnesses Donald beat up Seungun Min. When Kingsley looks for Donald in the library, he is shocked by Donald's folder of questions being past middle and high school level. Kingsley informs Donald that he is being called to the office about the incident with Seungun, and warns him that Seungun's parents have quite the influence at school. He tells Donald that he has been collecting evidence on Seungun to get him expelled or at least transferred, but Donald changed everything and says delinquents who use their fists don't understand. He says Seungun's parents will get Donald expelled.

Donald proves Kingsley wrong by cleanly erasing Seungun and suffering no consequences. He tells Kingsley that the real world exists outside the school gates and the real numbers are there. He tells him that the human world is naturally an unfair place and to not get caught up in it, but to use it. Donald offers Kingsley to join him because he needs him. Kingsley can never reject it and thinks Donald is the ideal person he has been looking for. Thus, their partnership begins and they start creating the Union. Whenever Donald fights and gets injured, Kingsley expresses his worry, but Donald tells him that he needs to show his strength in order to achieve victory.

A montage of the development of the Union is shown with Kingsley always loyally staying by Donald's side. Donald's backstory eventually ends and the story returns to the present where Kinsley is wearing a suit and sobbing. A white rose is on a table at the front along with a framed photo of Donald, indicating that Donald Na, after getting hit by a truck in Chapter 256, has died.

Chapter 264
It's revealed that Kingsley was the one who had done all of the funeral preparations even though he is the saddest and is taking it the hardest. Kingsley breaks down and falls to his knees as he sobs even louder. He screams and demands to know why Donald left them. When Ben arrives at the funeral hall, Kingsley is furious at first, but Jake Ji reminds him that Ben is just there to pay his respects. Kingsley begrudgingly allows Ben to stay.

Chapter 265
As Jake and Kingsley stand in front of Donald and Sua's urns, Jake asks Kingsley what he's going to do. Kingsley says the ending Donald wanted wasn’t this. He wants to maintain the Union for at least Donald’s memories, but Jake reminds him how Donald had disbanded the Union. Kingsley says that was his emotional choice but the Union is Donald himself, so it’s only right to continue it. Jake says that Donald wanted to eventually stop from the very beginning. Kingsley begins to cry again as he says that Donald didn’t want to stop like this.

Chapter 266
A flashback reveals that prior to Donald's death, he had planned to reorganize the Union and gather everyone up again, including re-recruiting Wolf. Back in the present, Kingsley carries out Donald's plan and when Jimmy Bae and Wolf Keum begin to argue with each other, Kingsley reminds them that although Donald isn't there, his rules still stand.

Chapter 267
Kingsley's final scene is him being unable to let go of Donald and continuing to dig up info about the day Donald died.

Quotes[]

“I know how you feel, man. Wanting to make a good impression on Donald, I mean, hahahaha.”
— Dongha Baek to Kingsley, Chapter 146
“But the fact is, I don't fight if I can't win. You were worried about nothing. You did this for nothing. There was zero chance I could've lost. My victory was predetermined.”
— Donald to Kingsley after finding out Kingsley orchestrated Ben Park's kidnapping, Chapter 236
“The real world lies just outside the school gates. And that's where the real numbers are, too. Humans are cowardly by nature. You have to make sure you're the one that uses that fact, not the other way around. So don't confine yourself behind this rotting fence. Follow me outside. I need you.”
— Donald to Kingsley, Chapter 262
“There was no way I could refuse him. I'd been complaining about the hands I was dealt in life but he made all of that seem like childish whining. That overwhelming charisma and other-worldy genius. Just the fact that someone like him existed was a strong motivation. To be honest, I was happy. Overjoyed, even. Because Donald Na just might be the ideal that I'd been longing for.”
— Kingsley's thoughts about Donald, Chapter 262

Fanon[]

People ship Donald and Kingsley together because Kingsley is most often seen standing by Donald's side as his loyal second-in-command. Kingsley is the only one who is able to ask questions about Donald's decisions and speak his mind and suggests his own plans. Everyone else in the Union just obediently follows Donald's orders without daring to speak up. Kingsley also became second-in-command immediately after Donald recruited him without needing to climb up the ranks like everyone else, and even being a higher position than Myles Joo who has known Donald longer and had been part of his gang before it became the Union.

Kingsley knows about the more personal side of Donald, such as him having trauma and needing medication for it, as well as setting a reminder for the day that Donald's mother died. Kingsley has also been the only one who is able to stop Donald mid-fight. He has also shown concern about Donald getting injured. All the other characters in Weak Hero consider Kingsley to be the only person that Donald trusts most. Kingsley, who is always stoic, broke down and fell to his knees as he sobbed at Donald's funeral. After Donald's death, Kingsley continues the Union in his place.

Some shippers joke that the KING tattoos on Donald's knuckles is a reference to Kingsley.
