Chapter 38
Despite a year having passed since the confrontation against Donald in middle school, Alex still fears him. When Alex and Gerard are on their way back to the pool hall, Alex suddenly tenses up and goes silent. He tells Gerard to keep his eyes straight ahead. Once they go around the corner, Alex tells Gerard that the people across the street are the Union, including their leader, Donald Na.
Chapter 98
Alex witnesses Donald and Ben's fight. Donald wins against Ben. He reminds him that he isn’t merciful and will make sure Ben never crawls up to him again. Alex rushes in between them and pleads for Donald to stop and that Ben’s already finished. Donald says whether he’s finished or not is entirely up to him and kicks Alex into a pile of wooden beams with nails embedded into them. As the beams fall, Ben shields Alex with his own body.
Chapter 99
Ben gets back up and tells Donald that he’ll kill everyone. Donald says to Ben that he was only going to beat him to a pulp but he might actually end up dead. Alex clearly knows that Ben’s instinct is the only thing that is keeping him standing. Alex tells Donald that he’ll fight instead. Donald grabs him and calls him entertaining, but before the fight can resume, Donald receives a phone call from Kingsley. Once the call ends, he tells Alex that he’ll wrap things up since he’s a busy man. He tells them to visit him anytime if they ever want to finish what they started. The Union leaves.
Chapter 248
After Donald defeats Ben, he doesn’t let Ben completely fall to the ground and grabs his hair. He orders Ben to tell his friends to go home. Alex is enraged and charges at him while shouting for Donald to get his hands off of Ben, but Donald knocks him out with two strikes.

Fans of the webtoon ship them because despite Ben being his opponent and having stated that he isn't merciful, he agreed to let Alex take Ben's place after Ben is badly wounded from the fallen wooden beams with nails in them. Donald even considers Alex entertaining for standing up to him despite being afraid and knowing he's no match against him.
When he grabs Alex, it is on the less aggressive side. He could've just immediately thrown Alex, punched him, or kicked him to get him to let go. However, he didn't do any of those. Donald also shows mercy to him and Ben by allowing the fight to end there, despite claiming he isn't merciful. He could've quickly beaten Alex up before leaving, but he didn't.
