“The first person I was ever polite to was him. The first person I thought was cool. The first person I wanted to follow was all... Keisuke Baji.”
— Chifuyu, Ch 67

BajiFuyu is the slash ship between Keisuke Baji and Chifuyu Matsuno from the Tokyo Revengers fandom.

Canon[]

Chifuyu holds a great deal of respect towards Baji, even calling him "Baji-san" to show his respect for him. Baji and Chifuyu trust each other a lot, with having known each other for years, being the Captain and Vice-Captain of Toman's First Division respectively, and living on different floors in the same apartment building. When Baji leaves Toman for Valhalla, Chifuyu continuously believes that Baji has a good reason for it, even going so far as to ask Takemichi to help him help Baji. He willingly lets Baji beat him up for him to enter Valhalla, and even calls him "badass" when talking to Takemichi afterwards.

During the Bloody Halloween incident, Takemichi and Chifuyu go after Baji. Chifuyu is the first to reach him, and when faced with the opportunity to fight Baji, he tears up and says that he can't hit him. Baji, having to maintain his traitorous persona, beats up Chifuyu and moves on. Later, when Baji ends up being stabbed by Kazutora, Chifuyu yells out to him. Baji decides to commit suicide to protect Kazutora from Mikey's wrath, and dies in Chifuyu's arms, smiling. After, Chifuyu visits Baji's grave with a Peyoung Yakisoba to split as an offering to Baji, as they used to while he was still alive. He cries at the memory of Baji thanking him before he died, and says that it wasn't fair for him to thank him.

In the flashbacks of their past in Chapter 67, it's revealed that Baji and Chifuyu are in the same grade at the same school, with Baji being a year older since he was held back. They met when Chifuyu sought out Baji to confirm rumours of him being a Toman member. He helps Baji with correcting kanji for the letter he's writing, and Baji says that he's a good guy. Later, when Chifuyu is outnumbered in fight against a biker gang, Baji comes to help him out to pay Chifuyu back for his help. After that, they shared their first Peyoung Yakisoba, became good friends, and since then, Chifuyu has always looked up to Baji, as 'the coolest guy he's ever met'.

They lived on different floors in the same apartment complex, the 2nd and 5th respectively, and it's even said Chifuyu's favourite spot was where Baji and him sat and talked for hours. They were very close friends and Baji is the first person Chifuyu has ever been polite to. After Baji's death, Chifuyu now rides his motorcycle in his honour.

In the "best" future outcome that Takemichi creates, Chifuyu now owns a pet shop and runs it with Kazutora. This is their way of honouring Baji, as it was his dream to own one, and both of them love animals.

Fanon[]

BajiFuyu is one of the most popular ships within the Tokyo Revengers fandom - on many platforms, people like to discuss Baji's death and its effects on Chifuyu. Though usually, as with most Tokyo Revengers content, people like to create alternate universes where Baji, as well as other deceased characters, survive, and Toman is disbanded before the later events that occur.

It is the most popular ship for both characters, and the second most popular in both the manga & anime Tokyo Revengers tags on AO3.
