Ben Park (Park Humin, nicknamed Baku, in the Korean Version) and Alex Go (Go Hyeontak, nicknamed Gotak, in the Korean Version) are childhood friends. They have been in the same homeroom classes for their entire lives except for their third year at Eunjang Middle School. The two have affectionately nicknamed each other “Big Ben” and “Gogo”. They are often shown almost always together, something even their enemies have taken note of.

Chapter 1
Gerard Jin (Jin Gayool in the Korean Version) says Ben and Alex look good together.
Chapter 5
When Ben and Alex assist Gray and Gerard against Yoosun at the underpass, Ben provokes Jack by calling him "Jimmy's minion" and mocking Jimmy for not coming to fight himself. Jack loses his temper and threatens to "take care of [Ben's] other arm". At this, Alex loses his cool and snaps. He throws the first hit which lands on Jack, turning the confrontation into an all-out brawl.
Chapters 12 and 13
Alex bumps into Jimmy Bae (Bae Jihun in the Korean version) at the pool hall. Jimmy beats him up and Alex refuses to fight back because he doesn't want to get Ben involved, remembering that all of this bad blood started from last year because of Alex. This is futile because Jimmy realizes Alex's plan to keep things from escalating and tells him that once he's finished with Alex, Ben is next.
Chapter 15
Ben goes to Alex’s house because Alex hasn’t been showing up to school. Alex refuses to face him and pretends he isn’t home. He doesn't want Ben to see his wounds so he plans to stay out of school until his face heals up so Ben will not go after Jimmy.
Chapter 19
Ben immediately embraces his best friend upon his return to school and asks him about a pool rematch after school. Alex declines out of fear of another confrontation with Jimmy. Ben invites him to talk before they leave, handing him a drink, which Alex notes is out of character, before heading off to class.
After school, Ben reveals to Alex that he learned about the incident with Jimmy from the pool hall receptionist. While he acknowledges Alex's effort to protect him, Ben refuses to stand aside and let Jimmy push him around.
Chapter 44
As Forrest Lee (Lee Sehan in the Korean version), Robin Ha (Ha Minjo in the Korean Version), and Grape discuss Robin targeting Ben, Grape mentions that he'll show up raging if Robin just roughs up Alex Go.
Chapter 52
Robin and his group attack Ben at Daebang Underground Passage and when Ben asks where Forrest is, Robin tells him that Forrest is beating Alex half to death waiting for him to show up. At Yeongdeungpo Park, Alex is surrounded by Forrest and his group. Forrest says that if someone beats up Alex, Ben would magically appear.
Chapter 58
Ben arrives and easily defeats Forrest's group. He rains down an avalanche of punches upon him. After Alex regains consciousness, he asks Teddy Jin (Jin Taeoh in the Korean version) to help him over to where Ben is. Alex tells Ben to stop and that it is all because of him. Ben tells Alex that it isn’t his fault. He asks if Alex is alright to which Alex confirms and tells him to stop because the game’s over.
Season 2[]
Chapter 93
In their third year of middle school, when a classmate insults Ben and calls him a bluffing bastard, Alex immediately runs across the desks and beats him up, daring him to repeat that.
Chapter 94
Ben tells Alex it's time to stop fighting. Alex, who once fought three times a day in middle school to prove his strength, thinks he [Alex] should be the one being called a bluff and Ben shouldn't be judged like that. Alex doesn't tell him the reason he fights because if he tells him, Ben will just blame himself. Alex thought Ben would understand him even if he didn't explain himself, and part of him began to resent Ben for holding back all the time. Later that day, Alex hangs out with Sean’s group and beats up some Gilshin students who were talking shit about Ben.
Chapter 96
Ben sees Sean and his gang running away and asks where Alex is, having had seen them with him earlier. Sean lies and says he doesn't know, but Ben knows something's off. Ben repeatedly punches him until Sean reveals Alex to be at the construction site near the back gate of Yeongdeungpo. Ben kicks Sean away and starts running towards Alex. As Alex is about to give up against Jimmy Bae (Bae Jihun in the Korean version) and the Gilshin students, he thinks the distant sound of approaching footsteps might be Ben's, and he's right.
Chapter 97
Alex is shocked by Ben’s arrival and asks why he’s here. Ben, in turn, asks Alex if there was ever a time when he wasn’t by his side. Jimmy decides to fight Ben one on one. When Jimmy struggles, Jack orders everyone to gang up on Ben. Alex, despite being injured, helps Ben fight off the Gilshin students.
Chapter 98
After Donald defeats Ben and wants to continue further injuring him, Alex rushes in between them and pleads for Donald to stop and that Ben’s already finished. Donald says whether he’s finished or not is entirely up to him and kicks Alex into a pile of wooden beams with nails embedded into them. As the beams fall, Ben shields Alex with his own body.
Chapter 99
Ben gets back up and tells Donald that he’ll kill everyone. He is beyond furious but all he could do is stand there with the tiny bit of consciousness he has left. Alex clearly knows that Ben’s instinct is the only thing that is keeping him standing. Despite knowing he'll be no match, Alex tells Donald that he’ll fight instead. Donald gets a phone call and leaves with the Union.
Ben’s arm is bleeding heavily and he collapses to the ground. Alex’s phone is broken so he can’t call an ambulance. He uses his jacket as a tourniquet and carries Ben on his back to the nearest hospital. As he runs, Alex recalls childhood memories he shares with Ben. He arrives at the emergency room and begs the doctors to save him. The middle school flashback ends.
Chapters 125 and 126
After Ben defeats Jake Ji (Ji Hakho in the Korean version), Naksung sneaks up behind him and knocks him out with a wooden beam. Alex angrily charges at Naksung. Naksung knocks Alex out just as Ben regains consciousness. Ben knocks out two Naksung Fam members and begins to mercilessly beat Naksung to the point where Ben's friends think that he might kill him. With Alex unconscious, Ben's brake system is broken.
Chapter 128
Alex tells Eugene that ever since he was a kid, he has spent so much time in his own head. He has never been helpful whenever Ben is in trouble. He embarrassingly tells Eugene that he's proud that Ben is his friend. He wants to be someone who can help him because friends should be able to count on each other. He doesn't want him to carry all that weight by himself like he always does.
Season 3[]
Chapter 148
While Ben and Gray are in Busan searching for Stephen Ahn (Ahn Suho in the Korean version), Alex fights Dongha Baek. As Dongha badly damages Alex’s arm, despite being miles apart, Ben has a bad feeling.
Chapter 154
When Ben and Gray visit Alex and Gerard at the hospital, Ben acts all happy and upbeat and leaves to answer a call. The rest of the gang is confused by his behavior but Alex immediately sees through the act because Ben never calls him by his full name.
Chapter 240
Jack insults Ben and says he ran away like a coward after he doesn’t appear at the Han River Battle with everyone else, but Alex tells him to shut his mouth because the Union are the ones who had him kidnapped. He threatens to kill everyone if Ben is hurt.
Chapter 244
When Ben arrives and knocks out Seongmok Do, Alex happily calls out to him. despite being extremely wounded and exhausted.
Chapter 248
After Ben is defeated, Donald doesn’t let Ben completely fall to the ground and grabs his hair. He orders Ben to tell his friends to go home. Alex is enraged and charges at him while shouting for Donald to get his hands off of Ben, but Donald knocks him out with two strikes.

Webtoon fans ship Ben and Alex because of how deep their friendship is and because they have known each other since preschool, which adds onto the childhood friends to lovers trope in fanfiction. Both of them are able to tell when the other is acting off or hiding something, even when they try to convincingly act normal. People also ship them because of Ben being able to sense when something bad is happening to Alex, even when several miles away. Alex's Mother is familiar with Ben as both Ben and Alex have gone to each other's houses since they were young. Alex showed immense excitement and was eager to hang out with Ben upon seeing him and convinced the bus driver to let him off early. Ben is also notably the most physically affectionate with Alex out of all of their friends and often slings an arm over Alex's shoulder.
Both Alex and Ben have shown absolute loyalty to each other. Alex knows that Ben is stronger than him and that if Ben can't defeat Donald, he stands no chance. Despite this, Alex stood up against Donald twice, once to prevent Donald from further injuring Ben after he lost in middle school and again in high school when Donald humiliatingly grabs Ben by his hair after defeating him and orders him to tell his friends to leave.
Some fans disagree on them being shipped as a romantic couple and prefer to leave them as close friends instead, or even a brotherly bond.
