BakuMeli is the het ship between Katsuki Bakugou and Melissa Shield from the My Hero Academia fandom.

Melissa and Katsuki first meet in the first movie My Hero Academia: Two Heroes. However, they had no interactions whatsoever. In their first meet, she asks why he is so angry. During the assault on I-Island, the 1-A students, especially Katsuki, work together to help I-Island from Wolfram's crew. In the Chapter 3 of the spin-off Team-Up Missions, in which Melissa makes an appearance again after the movie, Katsuki is among the audience used to spectate the inventions she and Mei Hatsume made. It can be noted that despite them appearing together, they almost never interacted. They are are both blond-haired people. And both have a great admiration towards All Might. However, only Melissa has an special personal relation to him due to her father, David, who is All Might's best friend. Katsuki and Melissa have a different way of justice. Melissa doesn't have a quirk, but desires to study and get more knowledge to help other people with science just like his dad as the way she could be a hero[1]. Due to the fact that he has a rather explosive quirk, Katsuki always tries to kill the enemy first and then check on his colleagues. But although he actually does care and gets worried about his partners, even he doesn't show it openly.
Melissa is a very energetic and kind woman who tries her best to help and always tries to cheer up others, while Katsuki is also energetic, but he is rather rude, loudmouth who somehow treats everyone like they're inferior to him. Melissa after meeting Izuku's class she wanted to know all their names and tried unlike Katsuki that he doesn't know their names and often calls them by nicknames he makes at the moment,but is quite intelligent since he does know everyone's quirk from their class.

BakuMeli is considered a rare pairing, as they both have little to no interactions in the movie nor the spin-off. It is also due to the existence of Melissa, who only appeared in the said movie and spin-off and many members of the fandom only watching the main anime. However, it is one of the top ships for Melissa other than its rivals DekuMeli and the femslash ship MeiLissa. It rivals other popular ships such as KiriBaku and Kacchako for Katsuki, and the mentioned ships for Melissa.
They can be portrayed as hero and support hero, much like the het ship IzuMei, which eventually causes them to grow closer to romance. It can also be portrayed similarly to canon, much like its other rivalling ships.
