Balissa is the het ship between Baljeet Tjinder and Melissa Chase from the Phineas and Ferb and Milo Murphy's Law fandoms.
Canon[]
In "The Phineas and Ferb Effect", Baljeet met Melissa when they were both imprisoned at Lard World by the Pistachions. After seeing how Baljeet was a fan of The Lumberzacks and had one of their discs, she yanked the disc out of his hands and planned to use it as a diversion for the Pistachions so that she could sneak out and help them escape.
The Murphy's Law Trio and the Backyard Gang worked around the clock in a secret, undercover research facility to study and examine Murphy's Law. Baljeet did some research on his computer about Milo Murphy and his disease, discovering some shocking results. Baljeet said that Murphy's Law is a lot more natural than they previously thought, being comparable with gravity. Melissa confirmed this, saying that she's done plenty of research and calculations on this disease, herself, calling back to her studies in "Missing Milo". Baljeet was flustered to hear that Melissa was into research and calculations too and started flirting with her. Baljeet then realized he was being kind of rude and apologized to Zack for making a move on his girl. Zack was thrown off by this and announced "We're not a couple!". Baljeet continued to explain what he learned about Murphy's Law, while Melissa, along with everybody else, listened. Baljeet explained that Milo's disease is caused by the negative probability ions that surround him, which is what they call "Murphy's Law" and also brought up that Phineas and Ferb have an opposite effect on themselves. Melissa was intrigued by this and asked if this meant that they had positive probability ions, which Baljeet confirmed. Baljeet theorized that using Phineas and Ferb's positive probability ions, they could sort of control and aim Murphy's Law at their will. Melissa thought that this meant they could weaponize Murphy's Law, which Baljeet also confirmed.
At the end of the crossover, everyone from the Backyard Gang and the Murphy's Law Trio had become a big group of friends and they all watched the lost Dr. Zone pilot together. Milo welcomed them to come back over and see them again at any time, suggesting at more Baljeet and Melissa interactions in the future.
Fanon[]
Balissa is a rarepair on both fandoms, due to the characters having so little screen time together. However, Baljeet did show an obvious interest in Melissa during their crossover episode, being fascinated with her ethic for research and calculations. However, he thought it'd be wise to back off, having the false impression that she was already in a relationship with Zack Underwood. Although this was a misconception at the time, Zalissa would eventually become canon in "Sphere and Loathing in Outer Space", making this a canon rival ship to Balissa.
Besides Zalissa, rival ships include but are not limited to; Gingeet, Mishjeet, Milissa, Amalissa, and Bujeet.
