Bancy is the femslash ship between Barbara Holland and Nancy Wheeler from the Stranger Things fandom.

Barbara and Nancy were best friends. Nancy had started dating Steve Harrington, causing Barb to become worried that Nancy wouldn't want to hang out with her anymore. Nancy assured her that they would still be friends, and gets Barb to agree to drive her to a party at Steve's. Barb tried to get Nancy to leave, believing that Nancy wasn't really being herself since she started dating Steve. Nancy ignores what she says and tells Barb to go home, much to Barb's frustration. Nancy then locks her outside so that she can upstairs with Steve.

Nancy becomes worried the next day when Barb doesn't show up for school, and starts trying to figure things out with Jonathan. Eleven ends up finding her body in the Upside Down, which upsets Nancy.

A year later, Nancy has dinner with Barb's parents who say that they're hiring a private investigator to try and find Barb. Nancy feels guilty as she can't give them any closure over Barb having been killed. She and Jonathan decide to get Hawkins Lab shut down, and are able to do so. Nancy and Barb's parents are able to hold a funeral for Barb, as she's finally put to rest properly.

Vecna would later use Nancy's trauma from Barbs death to try and get her trapped in the Upside Down. As Nancy felt guilty over Barb's death, believing she was the cause. Also feeling upset as she felt that she'd forgotten about Barb.

Bancy is a smaller ship in the Stranger Things fandom. Initially there was a bigger fandom in season 1, but as the series has gone on shipping started to die off. As Nancy had more interactions with other characters and wasn't as focused on Barb anymore. Many initially shipped the two due to many headcanoning Barb as a lesbian who was secretly in love with her best friend.

On AO3, Bancy is the most written ship for Barb. There are currently 130+ written works.
