Baseknife is the slash ship between Baseball and Knife from the Inanimate Insanity fandom.
Canon[]
In "A Lemony Lesson", the two both got on the same team, Team Epic.
In "The Great Escape", the two, alongside Paintbrush and Lightbulb, watched Bow endlessly try to capture them. They then sneak past her.
In "The Penultimate Poll", the two both voted for Paper to be eliminated.
In "Breaking the Ice", Knife tells Baseball he has to push him off. Baseball, confused, accepts it. It isn't until Knife starts pushing him and calls him fat. Baseball gets furious at him. He yells at him that he's not and kicks him into the water. Both Knife and Baseball got on the same team, the Grand Slams. After Knife hits Trophy, Baseball warns everyone to hit the members of the opposite team.
In "Cooking for the Garter Good", Baseball looked mad when everyone laughed at the picture of Knife holding his Dora doll. He told Trophy that he doesn't care about him being a "girly-doll-obsessed freak". He explained that everyone had a hobby in Idiotic Island, playing with dolls being Knife's.
In "Alternate Reality Show", Knife and the rest of the contestants hid behind Baseball after Paintbrush caused everything around them to burn. Later, after it was revealed Paintbrush is eliminated, the two glanced at each other in with a relieved expression.
In "Mine Your Own Business", when Baseball says everyone gets dropped sooner or later, Knife stares at him with an annoyed expression.
In "Hatching the Plan", Baseball jokingly asks everyone if they have a big ladder. He realises Knife is looking at him slightly angrily and moves back. This does not change Knife's expression. After Baseball starts cheering for Test Tube, Knife interrupts him. He tells him that Test Tube may win immunity, but they need to prepare to nab it. Baseball reminds him that she just flew off to save Fan and was confused as to why he wants to get her. Knife tells him that she's their biggest threat left. However, Baseball defends her, saying she would never betray them. Knife cuts him that she threw on Fan, her best friend. Baseball, still being against him, asks him why he thinks he won't go on him too. Knife explains to him that they need numbers to advance, and then they can worry about themselves.
In "Truth or Flare", after Knife says that he worked with Taco to help someone, Baseball asked him who. Knife said that it's not his truth to tell. After Knife says that him roasting Marshmallow alive is okay, Baseball sarcastically says him justifying murder is fun. Knife reminds him Nickel used to find it hilarious.
In season two, both of them got into the final three.
Fanon[]
Baseknife is a rarepair in the Inanimate Insanity community. The two didn't have a lot of interactions in neither Season one nor Season two, despite being on the same team. However, fans liked how protective and loyal Baseball was to Knife, for example, when he defended him from Trophy humiliating him. However, it seems that Knife dislikes him, considering he always looked slightly annoyed when seeing him. Their interactions are mainly neutral, however. Rivals of the ship are Bickel, Knickle and Knifecase.
