BatShiva is the het ship between Bruce Wayne and Sandra Wu-San from the DC Comics fandom.

Lady Shiva is one of the many assassins Bruce has faced as Batman, next to Talia al Ghul and her father. They have had many run ins before and after she left the League of Assassins. Years after Sandra Wu-San gave birth to her daughter and left her training to David Cain, Bruce ended up adopting Cassandra Cain. Who wants nothing to do with her mother, angering the deadly female assassin. Knowing that one of her enemies had turned her own child against her.
Batman: Hush (2019)[]
When devided factions allowed an intruder to steal some Lazarus pit water, Shiva travels to Gotham in hopes that it's protestor might know something or could lead her to the thief. She watched him fight Bane and his men to save a kidnapped child, before she approaches him. Even though he knew nothing about the theft or has any idea who might have it, she still thanks him for the information and tells him that it was an honour to see him work. As she disappears into the shadows Batman gruntenly says; "Next time call first." From not liking outsiders or League of Assassins members in his city.
Batman: Soul of the Dragon[]
The elsaword of the 1970s has Bruce and Shiva as two of the four elite students of the martial arts. Shiva had been training under their master, O-Sensei long before Bruce arrived to start his training. The two meet when O-Sensei introduces Bruce to his five other students that he will be trained beside, Shiva was the first one he met. The two hadn't interacted much with each other during those days, but they have formed strong bonds between each other and two other students. Which came in handy when the gate their master guarded was opened and they had to face the dangers that came out of it, until it was closed and re-sealed. With Shiva's entrusted sword being one of the main keys to open it again, Bruce, Shiva and the others agreed to keep the gate sealed in memory of their master and to ensure that the dangers behind it doesn't get released upon the world.
Years later, Bruce became the Batman while Lady Shiva rose up to become a dangerous head crime boss in China Town. Bruce was aware of the path his former classmate has taken and how much she has changed from the person he once knew as she became a ruthless woman, but hasn't gone after as the bat. Possibly due to the old ties they formed from their training days, the fact that she has managed to hang onto her honour, despite the blood that has stained her hands over the years, and is the keeper of the Soul Breaker sword. Bruce has, however, kept an eye on her criminal activities and knows where to find her. Richard Dragon had asked Bruce why the Batman hasn't put a stop to Shiva and her illegal activities yet, when he brought him to her, and Bruce's answer was; "I'm working up to it." After Bruce and Richard were attacked by the X gang, they went to Shiva knowing that the people who hired them will be going after the sword in her care next.
Shiva learns from Richard that Bruce is the Batman when the three were attacked by Kobra. She was surprised by this, but Bruce didn't have time to talk about it with her, as he informs Shiva that their attackers are after the sword. Bruce tries to help Shiva get it back, as he has her sit next to him in the high speed chase. Shiva was impressed with the gadgets that were built into his car, but when it looked like they were going to lose their target, Shiva noticed the switch for the extractor seat. Bruce tries to stop her, but Shiva was determined to get Soul Breaker back. Only to fail and have to ask another former classmate, Ben Turner to help them get it back. As well as to stop the people who seek to open the gate. Bruce and Shiva learn more about Kobra from Ben, while they use Bruce's jet to reach their island. Shiva wanted to charge in and kill all who got in their way, but Bruce didn't agree with her plan and reminded Shiva that the four of them will facing an army. Along with telling her that not even their master could dodge a bullet, but Shiva knowing him longer than Bruce did had her beg to differ. Bruce provided Shiva with a sword to use before the four sky dived off the jet.
After saving O-Sensei from Nāga's hold and knew that the gate needs to be closed through a sacrifice, Bruce took Shiva's reclaimed sword, while she was talking to Richard and Ben. He didn't want her or either of their two friends to be trapped in the gate's realm and was prepared to seal himself in it. Shiva and the others, however, weren't going to let him do so alone. While claiming that she was tried of men telling her what she can or cannot do. Together Bruce, Shiva and their two friends face the dangers that were also trapped behind the gate. Them taking Soul Breaker with them also meant that the gate will never be able to be opened ever again, but as long as they were together they'll be fine.
Children[]
Sandra has Cass with David Cain, and gave her to him to raise. After Cass revoked David's teaching, she was eventually adopted by Bruce.

BatShiva is a rarepair in the DC and Batfamily fandoms. On AO3, there are currently 5 written works. Even though shipping Bruce with one of his enemies isn't something new, the ship is mostly overshadowed by BruTalia and BatCat. Those who aren't fans of "Hero x Villain" ships, however, prefer to focus on their DC media and elseword counterparts that have them as allies. Like Batman: Soul of the Dragon, that had them as friends through a teacher they shared.
