The boys that are adopted by Bruce Wayne. The order of which they are adopted is: Dick Grayson, Jason Todd, Tim Drake and Damian Wayne (also from the oldest to the youngest). While Dick, Jason and Tim are not related by blood to Bruce, Damian is his biological son. Being the wards and sons of Batman leads to them becoming protectors of Gotham as well, with them all starting out as Robin before creating new personas for themselves. As the oldest of them and the first of them to become Robin, Dick acts as the leader of his Robin brothers and tries to ensure that they set along; as both a team and a family.

Dick helped Jason to become his own Robin, after learning that Bruce was trying to make the second Robin more like the first one, and was devastated when told that Jason was killed by Joker. Dick viewed Tim as a brother long before he too was adopted by Bruce, but when a revived Jason learned about the third Robin he resented Tim for replacing him. Just as Tim didn't approve of Damian from how their meeting turned out, or agreed with Dick's decision to make Damian the next Robin. A choice Dick made to help Damian feel excepted, after Bruce disappeared and was presumed dead. Leading to Dick and Damian serving as Batman and Robin, and have had run ins with Jason as Red Hood, while Tim as Red Robin refusing to believe their mentor and father figure is dead goes in search of him. Which allows Dick to become Nightwing again and Damian to continue on as Robin, after Bruce's return. Despite all the struggles after started after Jason and Tim found themselves passing the Robin mantle to someone else, without a say in the matter, all four adopted brothers were able to call a truths. Allowing them to get along when it comes to protecting Gotham.

Chapter 27 shows the struggle Dick goes through of trying to be there for his brothers all on his, as he tries to keep promises and helping them out when he can, until he thinks himself cancelling plans with one brother in order to help another brother (or sister). He originally promised Tim that they would go to the arcade, after learning that it has been opened, but before they could leave the manor Damian arrives home from school. He needs Dick to take him to the museum for a project he needs to work on. Dick tried to ask Damian if they could do it tomorrow, but Damian needed to do the studying today so he can work on the paper tomorrow. Seeing where this was going Tim knew that Dick would cancel their plans to help someone else, like he always does. Feeling that he has to fight for time to spend with his big brother, and tells Dick so. Leaving Dick to wonder if he really does that. After Jason heard Tim talking to Steph about it, he finds himself giving a brooding Dick advice in chapter 28. Helping Dick to see that while there is nothing of wanting to help everyone he doesn't have to it alone, with the number of kids Bruce adopts, and even though Jason denies of him being someone who would help members of their family at a moment's notice like Dick does, he does point out that there are those who would. Dick helped them to be a family, all they want is for him to be apart of it. Seeing that Jason was right, Dick goes to make amends with Tim. Who had felt bad for what he said to Dick, but Dick was glad that Tim had said something and strove to do better. Liking going to the arcade together with the promise of no interruptions, unless there was a massive vigilant related emergency they should help out with.

Batman Ninja[]

When the four were helping Batman with Gorilla Grodd, they ended up being sent back in time to feudal Japan. Where they got taken in by an ninja clan that worship a bat-themed samurai, allowing them to learn the ways of the country and timeline they became trapped in. Because Gotham's criminals were also sent by in time and began war lords, the four took it upon themselves to keep an eye on them. By the time they reunited with their father and mentor two years later, Red Hood continued to keep an eye on the criminals, while Nightwing, Red Robin and Robin remained with the Bat Clan. Waiting for reports from their brother, before Jason regroups with them for the final battle. After defeating the criminals and fixed the Quake Machine, to return back to their home timeline, three of the Robins hand the criminals over to Gordon; while Red Hood had took off to avoid the police.

The Batbrothers are not only viewed as the sons of Batman, but also the four main Robins that DC fans are most familiar with. Since not that many people were aware of Stephanie Brown's brief time as Robin, and with the four adopted brothers of the Batfamily being core members that have had a few media appearances beyond the comics. Drawing attention towards them, even though there haven't been that many media sources to feature all four brothers together on screen. Part from Batman Ninja, the first animated film to feature all four of them.

On AO3, there are currenltly 1000+ written works.
