Beachball is the het ship between Cris and Kel from the Omori fandom.
Canon[]
Cris is one of Kel's school friends. They are also next door neighbours. Kel met her after she returned to Faraway from a boarding school. On the day Sunny finally comes out of his house, he and Kel come cross Cris. Kel then introduced her to Sunny, telling him that she is "really cool!". He tells her that she is the best swimmer in their school. He then says that when swimming, people compare her to a mermaid, a shark, or even a torpedo. Shen then tells him that "you're never short on compliments".
Kel says that he would have a better chance of joining the junior varsity basketball team if he practiced as much she practices swimming. Shen then tells him that she isn't terribly hardworking when it comes to swimming. She says that she just finds it fun. She then goes on to talk about how much she loves the ocean in general. When she apologises for appearing "obsessed", Kel tells her that it's good that she's this passionate about something.
Cris then talks about how much she enjoyed her time at the boarding school. As a result of this, Kel remembers that Sunny will be moving away soon. He then asks her to share some tips for moving away. After doing so, she tells Kel and Sunny to give her seashells if they find any, promising that it'll be worth it. In exchange for three seashells, she will give a seashell necklace.

Because of Kel and Cris' friendship and given the fact that they both love sports, some people like to think they would make a cute couple. This is despite this not being a popular ship. However many Sunburn and Honeysuckle shippers use to like this ship. Another popular headcanon is that Beachball and Paintball are rival relationships and many people like to see Cris and Mincy fighting over Kel. On Kel's end, the ship is largely overshadowed by Suntan, Baseball Bat and, to a lesser extent, Cactiflower. However, there are fewer rivals on Cris's end, largely due to how she is a side character. Notable rivals include Sunfish and Watercolors. The ship has 90+ works on AO3, which makes it the most written Cris ship on AO3 by far.
