Rebecca and Baloo first meet in the multi-part series premiere "Plunder & Lightning." When Baloo falls behind on bills for his business, Baloo's Air Service, the Cape Suzette National Bank seizes his premises and the deed to his plane, the Sea Duck. Both are then bought by Rebecca, an entrepreneur looking to operate her own air service, and Baloo finds himself in the unwanted position of having to act as Rebecca's pilot since he lacks the means to buy back his plane. However, Baloo immediately begins looking for a said means, even going out on a delivery run for Rebecca only to use it as cover for acquire an object he believes is worth enough for him to regain the Sea Duck. This leads to an altercation with Air Pirates that also ruins Rebecca's cargo, and Rebecca becomes furious with Baloo and disbelieves his account of the pirate encounter until her daughter Molly, who had stowed away on the Sea Duck, verifies it.
Unfortunately, Rebecca and Molly are then abducted by the Air Pirates, who are also in search of the object, and held for ransom. Baloo goes to their rescue but takes advantage of an opportunity to seize the physical deed to the Sea Duck from Rebecca. Baloo later prepares to leave Cape Suzette in the Sea Duck with all his possessions, though he does have the courtesy to give Rebecca some gold dust he obtained from the pirates' hideout by way of payment. Despite their rough relationship so far, Rebecca doesn't want him to leave, particularly as both are concerned over the status of Baloo's young navigator Kit Cloudkicker.
When the Air Pirates attack Cape Suzette, Baloo tries to convince Rebecca to flee the city, only for her to refuse and insist upon fighting back. After fitting the Sea Duck with rubber to protect it from the pirates' electrical weapon, Rebecca joins Baloo on board the plane as he confronts the invading pirates. They succeed in destroying the pirates' weapon and forcing them to retreat, but as a result the Sea Duck is badly damaged. Rebecca pays for it to be restored, but as such is once again its legal owner. In resignation, Baloo agrees to continue acting as her pilot, though only until he can manage to buy the plane back from her.
In "I Only Have Ice for You", Rebecca becomes frustrated with Baloo when he refuses to tell her where on the Sea Duck he has hidden some rubies she was having him transport. Later, after Baloo's pilot's license is temporarily suspended, Rebecca takes on the job of pilot herself and deprives Baloo of his pilot's cap to wear it herself. Unable to fly, Baloo decides to accompany her, but proves critical of her performance which is based entirely on a guidebook. Rebecca, however, dismisses his complaints as jealousy and ignores his attempts to convince her to let him take the controls. Though her approach is questionable, Rebecca does pull off a successful first landing, prompting her to suggest that Baloo should apologize for his doubts.
Baloo refuses to acknowledge that Rebecca has accomplished anything worthy of praise and further complains when she wants him to unload equipment needed to get their next cargo-an entire iceberg-airborne. When Baloo asserts that his job is flying, Rebecca "grants" his wish by letting him ride on the flying iceberg as opposed to aboard the Sea Duck with her and Kit. Despite this, Baloo does yell out to Rebecca to warn her of approaching Air Pirates but then complains when she attempts to escape without cutting the iceberg loose first. They end up being captured by the pirates but soon escape, though Rebecca remains adamant that she will pilot the Sea Duck until Baloo's license is valid again. Baloo is furious with this proposal and snatches his cap back from her, though when Rebecca questions who is supposed to fly the Sea Duck in the meantime, both adults refuse Kit's request to take on the job.
In "A Star is Torn", Baloo accompanies Rebecca to a fancy dinner, which is implied not to have been their most recent outing together. However, on both that former occasion and this one, Rebecca finds herself embarrassed by Baloo's uncouth behavior, though Baloo finds the whole experience amusing. Rebecca comments drily on Baloo turning this latest affair "into a football game", though she does laugh and admit to enjoying seeing the state in which he left a particularly stuffy fellow guest. Seeing her loosen up, Baloo comments jokingly that such behavior could lead to the two of them being mistaken for friends.
As the two walk away from the dinner, each putting an arm around the other, Rebecca comments that the idea isn't completely outlandish and even leans her head against Baloo's shoulder. Baloo begins contemplating aloud how enjoyable it might be if the two of them actually got along. Unfortunately, the pleasant moment is broken when Baloo notices that a movie is being filmed down the street and immediately dashes away from Rebecca to investigate. To his credit, he does attempt to include Rebecca in the excitement by alerting her to what he has observed.
In "The Bigger They Are, the Louder They Oink", Rebecca and Baloo narrowly escape from hostile nomads while attempting to acquire feathers for Rebecca's latest money-making idea. While Rebecca laments the lost opportunity, Baloo criticizes her schemes and declares that she is stubborn and unwilling to admit when she's mistaken. Rebecca retorts that she's never been mistaken, at least so far as their work together has gone. Later, Rebecca hits upon the idea of using a pig to hunt rare truffles, a suggestion that Baloo finds absurd. He tries to support his reasoning by noting that Rebecca doesn't seem the type to spend time with pigs; when she gives him a meaningful glare, he takes immediate offense.
When a salesman begins haggling with Rebecca, Baloo again tries to talk her out of it, but his condemnation of her latest plan arouses Rebecca's anger yet again. Over his protests, she buys a pig, and then smugly tells him what she'll do with the money she earns from all the truffles she expects to find and sell. Baloo retaliates by whispering in the pig's air, ending with the word "Bacon", which sends it into a panicked rush with Rebecca being dragged along as she grips its leash. Baloo later behaves condescendingly when the pig ends up launching Rebecca off their dock and offers his assistance to Rebecca only to be rejected. He continues to belittle Rebecca for her purchase, but Rebecca is determined to prove that she made the right decision.
Rebecca later insists on taking the pig onboard the Sea Duck, a proposal to which Baloo objects by listing out a number of objectionable characteristics about the pig. In response, Rebecca cuttingly retorts that all of the unsavory features he listed are also applicable to him and then reminds him that she is the owner of the plane. Rebecca also instructs him to hurry up, and a complaining Baloo unwittingly sets the pig on a rampage by using the word "bacon" again, though he is amused when Rebecca is distressed by the resulting damage to her office. Rebecca begs Baloo to intervene and later becomes furious with him after he succeeds in calming the pig.
Baloo snidely claims to "have a way with animals", only for the pig to do just as much damage to the interior of the Sea Duck as it did to Rebecca's office. Rebecca takes advantage of this to make an ironic comment about Baloo's earlier boast, but this only irks Baloo. He then demands that Rebecca either get rid of the pig or lose him as a pilot; unfazed, she asserts that she'll keep the pig. Accompanied by Kit, the pair and the pig arrive in Zibaldo, where Rebecca takes the lead in the four of them posing as a family.

Beckyloo is a fairly popular ship among TaleSpin fans based on the onscreen relationship of the pair. They are very much a case of Opposites Attract, as Rebecca is conscientious and borderline workaholic whereas Baloo is leisure-loving, slovenly, and only works when compelled to do so. Their relationship is thus often antagonistic, with Rebecca often getting frustrated with Baloo's attitude while he enjoys teasing the boss he never wanted. This includes referring to Rebecca by nicknames such as "Becky" or "Beckers", which she initially detests, but warms to over the course of the series.
Rebecca and Baloo do also help each other in a number of ways, with Baloo helping Rebecca to take life less seriously while she often moves him to acts of goodness and responsibility he might otherwise avoid. The two are also seen to genuinely care for each other behind their bickering. A number of fan works have put forward the idea of them eventually becoming a couple, with Baloo becoming stepfather to Rebecca's daughter Molly and Rebecca becoming even more of a mother figure to Baloo's ward, Kit Cloudkicker.
The pairing is tagged in 12 works on AO3, 3 of which are rated Mature or Explicit.
