Bellcollar is the femslash ship between Abigail Bellweather and Raelle Collar from the Motherland: Fort Salem fandom.

Canon[]

Season One[]

Abigail and Raelle first meet when they are placed in the same unit in Fort Salem, alongside Tally Craven. At first the two butt heads when Raelle starts to slack off and skip training, thus affecting their rank as a unified unit. Abigail angrily confronts Raelle but she does not seem to care. Frustrated, Abigail asks General Sarah Alder to reassign her a new unit but she is denied. After reading an old letter from her mom, Raelle shows up to training to fight Abigail, as Abigail's mother was a part of the mission her mom died in.

Later Abigail apologises for getting mad and Raelle accepts her apology. They state that to work together they do not have to be friends but they hope that they can improve their unit.

Raelle is late and tired during a training session because she was with Scylla Ramshorn. As punishment, Anacostia Quartermain forces Abigail to perform a difficult discord seed. This injures her throat, which annoys Abigail. Raelle offers to heal her as it was her fault. Abigail initially lets her but rejects her off-canon methods, stating that she doesn't trust them.

Later, after impressing Anacostia with their windstrikes, their unit goes to the pageant in Salem Town. Raelle follows Abigail after she ditches and the two talk. They agree to stay away from each other's problems. Tally and Scylla find them amicably sitting in a restaurant together.

As the season progress, their relationship improves and they grow to respect each other more. Abigail believes that Raelle is a very powerful fixer and can do things that others can't. She is very impressed when Raelle heals Khalida and compliments her.

When Alder blocks their unit from attending War College because she wants them on a mission, Petra Bellweather takes Abigail off the mission. Raelle is noticeably distraught and appears betrayed by the fact that she won't be going with them. She believes them to be a unit. But when Abigail decides to go on the mission anyway, they embrace and Raelle is much happier than before.

After being attacked by the Camarilla, the group rush back to the helicopter to flee. However, before she reaches the helicopter, Raelle is stabbed in the back and collapses onto the ground. Abigail windstrikes the attacker away and rushes to her side. In an effort to save her, she grabs her hand and links to her, but it isn't enough to save her. Raelle begs her to let go and save herself but Abigail refuses. She continues to hold her hand and try, despite growing weaker and weaker. As the helicopter leaves, Abigail collapses onto the ground next to her. Even as she too is dying, she refuses to break their link.

As they lie facing each other, Raelle makes a joke about Abigail always having to be the hero. Abigail, looking as though she is trying not to cry, tells Raelle that she loves her. Raelle smiles and at that moment, black energy explodes from the clasped hands in a massive blast, killing the rest of their attackers. The season ends with them walking hand in hand surrounded by light and fungal spores.

Fanon[]

Although most fans favor the more popular Raylla, Bellcollar is moderately popular within the fandom. Fans tend to be drawn towards their rivals-to-lovers nature and their squabbling. They appreciate the growth the pair go through and how they come to care deeply about each other. Prior to Season Two, Bellcollar fans saw the Witchbomb as a result of the two of them, as opposed to solely Raelle. This was seen as very powerful and some fans even suggested that it was their love that saved them.
