BenRex is the slash ship between Ben Tennyson and Rex Salazar from the Ben 10 and Generator Rex fandoms.

Heroes United[]
A huge ball of energy is over Manhattan and Rex has to fight it. Dr. Holiday then gets a reading of something inside it as a creature starts to come out. Rex starts to fight it, but is thrown into Central Park. He puts on a brave face, which quickly fades as the creature emerges from the shadows. It turns out to be Humungousaur, one of Ben's aliens, who tells Rex that he's made a big mistake. He starts to slam Rex to the ground, but he has a shield up that protects him somewhat. Ben tells him to stay down if he knows what's good for him, but Rex just attacks him again. Ben says that Alien wannabes should know by now not to mess with "the 10" and Rex says that he must be a crazy "evo". Rex then pulls Ben underwater, where he turns into Diamond Head. Rex then grabs the Ultimatrix, but feels strange, and Ben askings what he just did to him. Rex isn't sure, but he likes it, and they continue their fight.
Rex knocks Ben into a bridge and Ben calls it a lucky shot. Rex tells him to stay still so he can cure him, but Ben says he's just talking crazy. He then turns into Lodestar, much to Rex's surprise, and they continue to fight. They call a timeout when they knock over a billboard that puts civilians in danger, but Rex lands on Ben and calls time when they're done. He then tries to take the nanites out of Ben, but is surprised to find out that he's not really an evo. Ben just says he's trying to do his thing, and Rex accuses him of trying to destroy the city. Ben is confused and turns back into his human self. He says he's Ben Tennyson, the world's greatest hero, but no one reacts, much to his confusion. Six then arrives and destroys the alien who also came through the portal, but is injured in the process. Rex is at his side and says that this is all Ben's fault.
Rex is told they need to find the rest of the alien when Ben interrupts and says he can help. Rex still blames Ben for what happened to Six, but Ben is genuinely sorry for what happened to Six. He has no idea what's going on though, and has no idea how he got here in the first place. Holidays says Ben is telling the truth, but she doesn't know how Ben got here. Ben says nothing is going to get done if they sit there talking, and Rex points out that they have him under house arrest. Ben says they don't, he just wanted to see how he could help. He then turns into Big Chill and phases through the tank. He then tells Rex that he isn't the only one who cares about someone close to them and leaves. Rex quickly follows.
As Rex chases after Ben, he asks him why he doesn't just go back to where he came from, and Ben says that's what he's trying to do. Rex wants to start a fight when Ben gets distracted by the changes in this version of Bellwood, much to Rex's annoyance. Ben begins to dwell on the fact that he may never see his family or friends again, which makes Rex feel bad. He suggests that maybe they can help each other, and Ben asks if he'd really do that. They're then interrupted by Caesar arriving with his lab. Rex says it's his brother, and Ben asks if he's doing the same thing as Rex. Rex says that Caesar is a little crazy, but not bad, as Caesar fires a gun at them. Ben pushes Rex aside and turns into Diamondback, causing the gun to return fire on itself. Caesar then says they need it to fight the creature, Alpha, that appears behind them.
After a fight, Caesar takes them to his lab and explains that Alpha left dead nanites behind. That it's part of what pulled Ben from his world. Rex is surprised that Ben is actually from a parallel world, and Ben asks if he "science class[es] much". Caesar assumes that Alpha was attracted to the Ultimatrix, and Ben explains that it's filled with the DNA of thousands of aliens. Rex mocks the idea, much to Ben's annoyance.
Alpha then attacks the lab and Caesar takes off in the escape pod. As Alpha destroys it, Ben turns into Cannonbolt and grabs Rex as they fall to the ground. Rex complains about the smell, and Ben says he can take it for the few seconds it took Ben to save him. Rex apologizes, but is frustrated at how bad his days have gotten, especially since it looks like Caesar tried to kill him. Ben suggests that Caesar was protecting them, and Rex asks if Ben is a glass-half-full kind of guy. Ben says that is this crazy world he is, and Rex gets a call saying that he needs to get Ben to New York if he ever wants to come home. Rex says that's too bad because he almost considered liking him, but Ben says that he's not leaving him while Alpha is still out there. Rex says it's his problem, not Ben's, if he's told Alpha is at the base.
As Holiday is attacked at the base, Rex arrives to take out Alpha while Ben, as XLR8, catches her. Rex asks if he can give him a hand, and Ben says he can give him four, transforming into Four Arms. Rex begins to like the way Ben thinks and has Ben launch him at Alpha. They are stipped when Holiday shoots at Alpha, hitting Rex and sending him running. Ben says that if Rex's brother is trying to kill him and Holiday is his friend, he might be safer on Ben's earth. Holiday says that Rex is fine with losing his body.
They shoot hoops on the court, and Ben asks if he really wants to wait around. Rex says that Alpha wants his nanites and would rather go out and fight, but Ben thinks that Rex's nanites need a break. Which Ben gets. He makes fun of Rex's inability to shoot, but Rex just takes Ben's ball. Ben asks what happened to Rex to make him like that, and Rex was about to ask Ben the same thing. They both explain their backgrounds and make fun of their team names. Rex then shoots the hoop again and Ben gives an assist, which Rex compliments. They are called back to the briefing room and told where Alpha is and they start to go. They accidentally grab the wrong jackets to put on, but don't realize it until Ben's smells like bananas and Rex's is too tight. Bobo comments that if these two are the planet's best hope, they're doomed.
As Alpha begins to drain Rex, he yells that he could really use an alien right now. Ben says he would, but the Ultimatrix has been drained, and Rex yells at him to do something. Ben then throws a rock, hitting Rex in the head, who then tells him to do something better. Ben suggests calling him names as something inside Rex unlocks and Alpha explodes. Rex is thrown through the air as the Unimatrix recharges. Ben turns into Big Chill and catches Rex, who lands safely. Rex says that when he fights Alpha's control, their nanites cancel each other out when Alpha reforms and copies the Unimatrix into himself. He then transforms and Ben asks if he can do that. Rex says he just did, and they flee until they are forced to fight back.
The Unimatrix is recharged and Ben quickly uses it, accidentally transforming into Shocksquatch. Rex tells him to blow up Alpha, but Ben says he's never seen the alien before. Rex says that doesn't fill him with confidence, but Ben is able to send an electric shock to Alpha. He's excited, but then turns back, much to his disappointment. Rex has his Omega nanite stolen, and Ben asks if he's okay. Rex says no and thinks he knows what Alpha wants. He wants to destroy humanity.
Rex blames himself for what happened and Ben says this is not how it was supposed to go. He's seen what Rex can do. Rex says that his most powerful builds came from his Omega nanite, and Rex asks what they can do. Ben realizes what he can do and transforms into Upgrade. He then enters Rex, which feels weird, and asks what's supposed to happen now. Ben sticks his head out of the tech suit he made, which freaks Rex out, and tells him to build something. Rex does, and it looks great. He asks Ben what the plan is, and Ben gives a simple run-through that works for Rex.
They fight, but are eventually separated, and Ben returns to human form. Rex says they need a direct hit on Alpha, and Ben says if they need more insults, he's got a good one. Rex tells Ben that he needs Ben to turn into Cannonbolt when he attacks. Ben knows what Rex is thinking and asks if it's dangerous. Rex officially decides that he likes Ben, and Ben feels the same wat. Rex then pulls out his cannon, puts Ben in it and fires Cannonbolt. Destroying Alpha.
Rex gets the rest of the nanites into a tight ball, and Caesar says they have to get rid of it. He opens a portal with a zero-gun, and Ben and Rex fist-bump each other before Ben goes over to it. Rex asks how he's going to carry it, and Ben says he's not. He turns into Upchuck and eats the ball before telling Rex that they should do this again sometime. Rex is very upset that Ben ate the ball, but waves goodbye as Ben leaves.
Rex tells Six about Ben and how he was helpful when his watch actually worked. He says that Ben was a cool kid and wonders if he'll ever see him again. Holiday says that parallel dimensions don't work in Rex's favor, but Six says that some people are just meant to meet. He may see Ben again sooner than he thinks.

- Ben hits Alpha and Caesar yells at him not to touch Rex.
- Ben shoots Alpha before he can touch Rex.
- Ben asks if a long explanation means something bad on Rex's Earth, and Rex says that it does.

- Rex and Ben both say "we can try" when asked if they can defeat Alpha.
- Rex stops Alpha from hitting Ben.
- Ben tells Rex that he has to admit that Alpha looks cool as an alien and asks if he should try those insults now.

BenRex is quite popular, especially for a crossover pair that hasn't interacted all that much.
On AO3, BenRex is the third most written ship for Rex and the tenth most written for Ben. It is also the fourth most written ship in the Generator Rex tag. There are currently 50+ written works.
