Benmina is the friendship between Ben Pincus and Yasmina "Yaz" Fadoula from the Jurassic Park fandom.

Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous[]

Ben and Yaz do not have very many interactions at the beginning of their time at Camp Cretaceous. However, when they meet up again after Ben is discovered alive, they are surprised to see how much the other has changed. Ben is shocked to see that Yaz is a "hugger", and Yaz is surprised to see that Ben is no longer afraid of everything.
Ben is the first person that Yaz reveals her crush on Sammy to. Ben is excited and immediately supportive, and convinces Yaz that she should tell Sammy how she feels. When Yaz does finally agree to do so, Ben cheers her on. He tries to help Yaz find the right time to confess her feelings, and watches from a distance when she does so. He can be seen celebrating when Yaz and Sammy finally kiss.
Jurassic World: Chaos Theory[]
Ben and Yaz reunite when he and Sammy set off to find her at her new university. Yaz is excited to see them, but quickly her mood changes when they reveal that they are being hunted. This prompts a fight between Yaz and Sammy, and Ben follows Yaz to make sure that she is safe. They have a heart-to-heart, and Ben even tells Yaz about his girlfriend. She is excited for him, and asks for more details but they are interrupted by the arrival of a Becklespinax.
Yaz and Ben escape the island with Sammy, but their van is shot off the road. They crash into the water, and are forced to fight off the Becklespinax and try not to drown. Thankfully, all three of them make it to shore in one piece. They eventually reunite with the others at the Louisiana facility, and Yaz is there when Bumpy gives birth to her egg.
While in Senegal, Yaz is one of the only ones to realize that Ben is keeping a secret from the rest of them. Ben, clearly having a deep sense of trust in Yaz, pulls her aside and tries to confess the truth about Brooklynn being alive. However, he is interrupted before he can. Yaz later tries to figure out what is occupying Ben's mind, but he refuses to betray Brooklynn's trust and tell Yaz the truth. Later, when the group finally reunites with Brooklynn, Yaz instantly realizes that this is the secret that Ben has been keeping from her.
Fanon[]
The friendship between Ben and Yaz is a popular one in the fandom. The pairing really took off in season 5, when Yaz confided in Ben about her feelings for Sammy before she told any other member of the Nublar Six. Fans enjoy them for their "opposites attract" sort of friendship, and see them as having a really deep trust in one another.
There are some fans who choose to see the relationship between Yaz and Ben as romantic, and who hope to potentially see them end up with each other by the end of Chaos Theory. As Yaz is confirmed to be bisexual and Ben is confirmed to have romantic interest in girls, due to him having a girlfriend, there are fans who see their friendship as potentially running deeper. However, most fans prefer to ship the canon pairing of Yasammy, and Ben is most often paired with either Kenji or Darius.
Benmina is Yaz's fourth most popular ship on AO3. It is Ben's seventh most popular. There are currently over 20 works. The romantic version of this pairing is much less popular, with under 10 works on AO3.
