Big Three Cousins is the friendship between Percy Jackson, Thalia Grace, and Nico di Angelo from the Camp Half-Blood Chronicles fandom.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians[]

In the short story "The Sword of Hades", Percy, Thalia, and Nico are all called together by Persephone. Due to them being the children of the Big Three, she believes that they are the only ones capable of helping her keep Hades' sword in the underworld. The trio set off on a trek through the Underworld, chasing after the sword and its thief, Ethan Nakamura. When Percy is gravely injured in a fight, Thalia and Nico look after him. They refuse to leave Percy behind, even when he struggles to walk. Later, when the group meet Melinoe, Thalia and Nico are confronted by visions of those they have lost. Percy stands up to Melinoe to save his friends from her spell. The three demigods successfully save the sword and return it to Persephone and Hades. Nico decides to stay in the Underworld with his father, while Percy and Thalia decide to return to the mortal world together to eat cheeseburgers.
The Heroes of Olympus[]
Nico spends time with Percy and Thalia separately, but they are never seen together as a trio in this series. Percy and Nico set off on the prophecy of The Seven, and work together extensively throughout the later part of the journey. When Nico later separates from the group to travel with Reyna and Coach Hedge, he suggests that they reach out to Thalia and the Hunters of Artemis for help. This shows that he trusts Thalia, despite losing his sister to the Hunters.
Percy and Thalia make mention of each other, but do not share any scenes together in this series.
Fanon[]
Despite not technically being related due to Gods not sharing DNA, fans often view the relationship between Percy, Nico, and Thalia as familial. Percy is an only child for most of his life until his half-sister is born, and both Nico and Thalia lost their only siblings during important battles. Therefore, some fans like to imagine that the Big Three Cousins would take comfort in each other and even consider each other to be like cousins or even sometimes siblings.
Sometimes "Big Three Cousins" is used to refer to the relationship between Percy, Nico, and Jason Grace, Thalia's brother. The three are central characters in The Heroes of Olympus series and Nico is shown to be particularly close to both of them. However, due to Jason technically being a son of Jupiter rather than Zeus, Thalia would be a better consideration for "cousin".
