'Cause they're cheesy too. But you're not like that. You're... different.

Black Rainbow is the het ship between Anna Kadabra and Oliver Dark from the Anna Kadabra fandom.

Canon[]

Volume 1: The Full Moon Club[]

The entire saga begins with the Green family moving to Moonville, and with the protagonist, Anna Green, complaining about having to leave her old house, school, and town. Her pie-loving parents found an opportunity to open their own bakery in a small town called Moonville, and despite Anna's opposition, they all moved.

On her first day of school, her teacher, Madame Prume, would order her to sit in a desk far back, where Anna would first meet Oliver. There, Anna would politely introduce herself, while Oliver, rudely, would tell her that he is the boss at that desk. After a while of ignoring each other, Oliver would question Anna about whether she was the new girl who lived near the abandoned mansion, since said mansion was haunted. However, Anna put on a brave face, telling him that those things about witches and magic don't scare her. This causes Oliver to start teasing Anna, saying that maybe she is a witch too, and despite ignoring him, Oliver's teasing of Anna makes her lose control. Suddenly, Anna sees a trash can and imagines how pretty it would look on Oliver's head. Immediately, the trash can flies and lands on the boy. After taking it away, Oliver accuses Anna, for which Madame Prume punishes her after class.

Ironically, this punishment was more of a way for Madame Prume to lure Anna to three other kids: Marcus, Angela, and Sarah. And there, she revealed that Anna is a witch. What's more, the five people in that room are witches, members of a club known as the "Full Moon Club." After explaining a few more things about magic, Anna would return home, where, at midnight, her clubmate Marcus Pocus would come to pick her up on a flying bike enchanted with the "Cosmic Buttlift" spell. During the flight, Marcus told her a few things about her clubmates, and something important about Oliver: The bully is the great-grandson of a famous former Witch Hunter in town, so it's best to stay away from him.

Over the next few days, Anna would learn more about the magical system: the types of magic (there are 10 possible colors, and Anna discovered that her magical color was Rainbow, which can access the other eight basic colors), the magical diaries and the process of creating spells, the magical beings that inhabit the mansion, the creation of wands; she would even recieve a secret name: Anna Kadabra. But she would also learn how dangerous Oliver is, who has tried many times, in vain, to break into the mansion, even threatening to burn it down. But not all threats come from outside the club...

Sarah, quite jealous of Anna's rainbow magic, sets a trap for her with a fake invisibility spell that Anna uses on her magical pet, a black cat named Cosmo. The spell causes Cosmo to grow and almost expose Anna as a witch, if not for Marcus' help. Anna takes out her rage on Sarah, but this causes Madame Prume to suspend her from the club and hold a meeting to decide whether Anna should stay or go. But before midnight, Anna, from her house, could see Oliver and his friends sneaking towards the mansion with torches to burn it. At maximum speed, Anna flew to the outskirts of the mansion and used a spell to create giant insects to scare him away. Later, the rest of the club would arrive to prevent the bugs from causing further damage.

Despite having risked their secret, Oliver's threat was something to be reckoned with, so everyone accepts Anna back into the club. Even Sarah apologizes for the trap, as she was afraid Anna would outdo her at everything.

Volume 2: A Problem With Wings[]

The next adventure began when something or someone threw a pile of dung at the statue of Oliver's great-grandfather. This caused Oliver to become agitated, and he waited for Anna at school first thing in the morning to question her, as her parents work right across the street from the statue and might have seen something. Oliver was convinced this had to do with magic, and even suggested that Anna let him set up a lookout post at her house to keep an eye on the mansion. Anna refused, once again earning Oliver's dislike and suspicion.

Later, the Club would discover that the person responsible for this was a Piggycorn: the son of a forest unicorn named Fifi Pompom and a runaway farm pig named Monsieur Bacon. The Club would move heaven and earth to capture him and return him to his parents, and they'd better do it fast, because Oliver was beginning to suspect the existence of a magical creature in Moonville, and he already had a gang of sycophants helping him search for it.

Luckily, Anna and the club found the Pigcorn and returned it to its family. Unfortunately, it turned out there were two hatchlings, and one of them managed to be captured by Oliver, who called his sycophants to finish off the creature at sunset. The club barely managed to switch the baby with a disguised Monsieur Bacon, leaving Oliver looking ridiculous since the beast was actually a pig in disguise. Oliver locked himself in his house and didn't come out for several days, either out of embarrassment or because many kids were upset with him for lying to him.

Quotes[]

“I'm sure it must have been the witches. Anna, your home is very close to the manor. You gotta let me set up a lookout post in your window. That way I can find out what happens there every night.”
